Touhou / General Doujin stuff in HongKong and Singapore
« on: June 14, 2015, 08:30:51 PM »
To keep it short, I as an Europe-dweller will be making a trip to HongKong and Singapore and I was wondering whether there are some cool places I should check out for Touhou merch, since it's a rather rare occasion for me to get to a more Japan-connected region. I am not interested in spending loads of money, but a few official/fan-games, plushies or lenfried albums would make me happy. :)

There was already a thread like this back in 2013 but apparently many of the stores closed down so I wanted to get a little more up to date with things.

Send me a PM and I will be your tour guide

edit: Outside of cons it is impossible to get official 2hu/fan-games and Singapore has this thing where it's illegal to have pornographic materials so you won't find any lenfried piss here

<Nietz> Anyway, sex toys alone won't come up to 11k.

I'm from Hong Kong though I haven't been living there for over a few years already. I'll be visiting Hong Kong in July so I could help you track down some of the stores selling touhou merch (and be your tour guide if you need) if you're going to HK during that period of time.

Thanks everybody for the nice offers of advice. I kinda made the post just a day before leaving. I am back now, but I had a rather enjoyable stay. In the end I only went to one place that I found by accident in a tourist guide book. It was the Sino Centre in Kawloon. Most of it is electronics, music and figures of major animes, but on the top floor there were some manga stores and one of them was showcasing a book with Marisa on the cover so I went to investigate and ended up leaving with these (fully translated into Chinese):

I think this could be a heads up to anyone looking for the official Touhou manga. I took the last copies of FS1, FS2 and BND. FS3 just came in as I said so they had more of these. Didn't check the other stores after that, you might get lucky too.
