Puzzle and Dragons Thread 21: Revenge of the #OneTrueGod

Puzzle & Dragons is an ios/android puzzle RPG.  It plays like a cross between Bejeweled and Pok?mon.  It's completely free to play, but has premium features through purchasable "magic stones," the game's premium currency (which can also be obtained frequently as rewards in-game), which allow for increased inventory, pulls from a rare egg machine, and more.  If you're patient enough the game gives you enough stones through special events and rewards that you shouldn't need to buy any.  (It's recommended you don't because then you will be feeding the mighty Juggler-empire lead by the Dark Lord YamaP and his army of really good artists.)

You can control monsters from lowly slimes to even lowlier dragons to ridiculously powerful beasts like Awoken Anubis (above).  They all have different stats and skills, allowing you to customize your team for any number of purposes.

Real talk though, the real reason to get into this game is because everyone else here is playing it and has been playing non-stop for the past 2 years :V , and probably won't stop for a long time thanks to the constant updates to the game and its mechanics, balance changes that never directly nerf anything and are mostly focused on increasing the viability of older monsters, and of course the endless addition of new monsters and collabs that are dished out on a regular basis.

A tip for new players: At the end of the tutorial the game will give you one free pull on the rare egg machine.  It's best to "scum" this pull and start over (by uninstalling and reinstalling) until you get something that's really rare (a god).  Great starters include any of the Chinese gods, Ares, Bastet, Isis, Idunn & Idunna, Lu Bu, Zhuge Liang, Odin, Kali, Shiva, Sonia, and many others.  Feel free to ask!

I am sure somebody is going to do numbers so large with that multiplier the game itself can't handle it and ends up crashing. That or your phone just goes "nope, i'm done with numbers" and explodes.

Think about this: double A.Anubis team attacking with 1200x, then you have to add the fact that is a 10+ combo ...... against a Light boss :V

I think I've asked this before, but does anyone have any success stories of farming (like consistently, we've all had occasional lucky runs) in Mechdragon's Massive Fortress for +eggs? I just did four runs to break up my farming, and got the same consistent 1.5 eggs per run I've always gotten. I don't know why people like this dungeon.

I like it because it also provides me with fodder for snowglobes/new puzzlemon to level them up at the same time as egg farming.

How many eggs did you get? And which floor do you use?

It's not even great for monster food in my opinion because the drops are so low-level. Spoiled by alt dungeons I guess. And Door Of Light And Shadow usually drops a handful of metal kings in a day of farming, so it doesn't quite give no experience.

I'm too afraid of alt dungeons so that's out for me, I do whatever floor matches the color I'm gunning for at the moment.  I did really well today (I didn't keep track, but probably 2.x cause I had one round with 4 eggs) but then again I am pretty bad at this game and don't optimize so eh.

I haven't gone all spreadsheet hero on it but I tend to get decent rates, not as good as alt dungeons but This did happen to me.

The reason I prefer mechdragons is because you have a decent drop rate combined with decent feed (not incredible, but okay) for much better rank EXP than Forbidden Tower offers. Also much less tedious. I basically run Mechdragons in between running alts.

Another more interesting thing I thought I'd throw in, a thread lasts roughly a month!

The longest lived thread was the first one, lasting approximately two and a half months.

The shortest lived thread was the 14th thread, lasting a mere 21 days! Sorry Hathor, but you were too close to the new world order to survive any longer than that.

It's a shield on top of a bind resist, on a 3-turn cooldown.

I mean, I think 15% is pretty fair when you think about all of that, especially since using it also gives you bonus damage.
