Greetings everyone,

I am Humming Humbucker, a simple guitarist who enjoys making music in his spare time. I recently stumbled upon this wonderful forum, and upon seeing all the interesting works posted here, I wanted to try and participate too. I look forward to talking with you all, and I hope we get along.

The title of the album is De Hominum Natura, and it is a relatively diverse album, featuring genres from symphonic metal and rock to dance rock and ambient music. The album also features two vocal tracks, performed by the lovely Milky-chan, whom you might recognize from her works with Babbe, as well as from her own circle.

All your stuff has really nice polish to it. Quite atmospheric. I'm probably going to have to listen to everything sometime when I have more time.
Is De Hominum Natura supposed to sound like Kaguya's theme?

Thanks for the welcome, Mea. To answer your question, I did use her theme as the main motif of the song, especially in the chorus/intro stuff because I wanted it to sound like the album is almost looping around, with the opening track using the IN title theme and the last track using IN themes. My hope was that it would give the album a cyclical sense of finality. I hope you enjoy the album

Hey, ExPorygon, how have you been? Yeah, I have been making music, but I am kind of slow due to school - darn evening classes and stats class- and due to the perfectionist tendencies that cause me to abort most of my projects early. Hopefully, participating in this forum will help motivate me to make more stuff; seeing everyone redo their old art projects is kind of making me want to draw and make moar music.

Welp, I had planned to update more frequently, but ended up taking a looong break.  :derp: Not that it really matters. At any rate, if any one is curious, here are few things I have been working on.

Wanted to leave some criticism just in case this thread isn't dead for good.

This comment will specifically adress your rock/metal arranges.
I don't really have any problems with them composition-wise other than feeling a bit haphazard at times; that's okay though. My main concern is in the arrangements production.
First, do you use a metronom? The songs seem to not quite come together often as the tracks don't mend together as they should, which makes me personally feel a sense of unease; after some time, it get's hard to listen to.
Next, your mixing/mastering. The guitar is very drowned and muddy and seems to be held back by some sort of limiter or normalizer. I don't know why or if that's even accurate, but your guitar really needs more presence, even at risk of unbalancing the mix.

Kudos to your solos though, they kick ass.
