It's true, I was the only survivor. Thankfully I was smart enough to NOT fasten my seat belt, so I was thrown free from the wreck and unharmed. Took a while to walk home though.

(the joke)

Also you made me post in my thread without an update. Just think how disappointed people are going to be.

> Nazrin: LAST WORD.

Your health is low enough, but unfortunately this situation is not nearly dramatic enough to activate a LAST WORD.

> Nazrin: Send out an SOS to summon a swarm of small sons of Sisyphus.

Your score in this skill is not sufficient to suddenly send for support and speedily settle this situation!

> Nazrin: Seduce.

This is not really your forte. Besides, you want to get AWAY from these tengu, not closer. Also, you have no desire to find out if those rumors about tengu cloacas are true.

> Nazrin: Shield.

While you're pretty sure the chances of your pendulum shields blocking the tengus' next attacks are better than 50%, that's a big gamble and doesn't really make it any more likely that you can win this fight.

What else can you do?

It occurs to you that talking is a free action, and more actions are exactly what you need right now. Might as well give it a try.

> Nazrin: Subtly threaten aggressors with the wrath of Myouren Temple.

This probably won't work out well in the long run, since while your compatriots could certainly lay waste to these two birdbrains, they could very well come back with backup of their own. The last thing the Myouren Temple needs is a swarm of angry tengu trashing the place.

Besides, you don't like to use your allies as leverage. That just leads to other people having to clean up your messes, and your job is to solve problems, not cause them.

> Nazrin: Shit, bull.

Well, that was a bust. Lying isn't really your forte either (quite the opposite, really).

You've got just one idea left. So she's not stupid - but is she prepared?

> Nazrin: Subterraneanize.

Of course. They didn't bring detection. They never bring detection. You always, ALWAYS bring detection!!

You have successfully escaped the battle.

> Be Nazrin, formally.

You are NAZRIN, THE LITTLE DOWSER GENERAL. You don't really like the "little" tacked onto your title - it's, well, belittling - but it stuck and there isn't much you can do about it.

You are a devout follower of BISHAMONTEN and an ally of BYAKUREN HIJIRI. You are currently charged with the care of the avatar SHOU TORAMARU, but lately you spend more time pursuing your own side business. True to your title, you are in command of a large number of youkai mice, and you actively study the art of war. You are skilled in reconnaisance, logistics, strategy - just about everything, except the actual fighting. Normally, you don't enter battle unless you've already figured out how to win, but hiccups like the encounter just now do occur from time to time.

Although most of your talents are used to gather information and advise the MYOUREN TEMPLE, your real specialty is acquisitions (actual acquisitions, not the euphimism for stealing), using your ABILITY TO FIND LOST OBJECTS. If you are given a clear description of an object one wants found, you can locate it via DOUSING. The entirety of Gensokyo is well within your maximum range. You are often hired to find and retrieve all sorts of things, but you don't work cheap. You are a professional and you charge accordingly.

Recently, you expanded your services to include deliveries, as your reputation landed you a job offer as a courier for Kourindou's mail order service. Speaking of which, you are running late.

> Nazrin: Hurry to work.

He goes back into his storeroom to get everything together.

> Nazrin: Greet Wriggle.

Not quite a friend. More of a mutual respect thing. Mice and bugs are cut from the same cloth. You do what it takes to survive.

> Rinnosuke: Hand over deliveries to Nazrin.

You finish double-checking the paperwork and call Nazrin into the storeroom.

You don't know how she does that, and you don't want to know. All you need to know is that her max inventory size can carry pretty much anything.

> Nazrin: Check addresses.

You go over the paperwork and start planning an itinerary for the day. It won't be easy, looks like each package is going in a different direction from the HUMAN VILLAGE. You try to figure out the fastest route. But where to go first?
