Interesting Kotono is the only cast member back to reprise her role, though I'm sure Rei's original VA had retired awhile back.  TBH, I wasn't expecting her in the first place and expected all five roles to be re-cast.  I wonder if any of the other original four will get cameo roles...
But they're sure as hell going for star power, aren't they?

And the fanartists didn't take long with the crossover potential either.

I really like those designs, they strike me as being halfway between the manga and the old anime looks which is perfect.

Between this and Hachapre. this year is hype as fuck for mahou shoujo. Do we know how many episodes it's going to be?

Nope. Nor Tuxedo Mask. (My secret probably-unlikely hope for Luna is Megumi Han though, she's great and her mother was the original Luna. And I wouldn't be shocked to see Tooru Furuya reprise Tuxedo Mask considering they brought back Kotono Mitsuishi for Moon.)

I know this is a late post, but anyway... I used to watch the series when I was like 6 ~ 8. Since it has been so long, I don't remember anything anymore, except for the main characters. But I've forgotten all of the villains and minor characters.

I'm pretty excited for this too. My childhood will return just like TSO's. (★^O^★)

But then I remembered that the original Moonlight Densetsu didn't have that, so there probably wouldn't be any wicked sick guitar

It's been up for LESS than TWO DAYS and it's got 2million hits.

Also this entire thing could be a disaster but the second Ami Koshimizu gets Makoto just right, it's all good to me.

They seem kinda twiggy/long-legged but moreso what ticks my weirdness thing is something about... the head/face... maybe it's that it's too angular and overdecorated and their lips are tiny? I don't know, what I think of saying just sounds really nitpicky, but in the end there's something about it that seems really weird.

Wait. I just compared a new and old image.

They're drawing Sailor Moon with the top of her head like  2~3 times farther over the forehead/hairline mark in a lot of the non-side appearances. I think it's throwing off the entire look of her head. She does look overly elegant and pristine though, like a queen, which is... weird. I think the tiny lips/lipstick is doing a lot for that, plus she already has the hairclips things she got in like season 4 last time.

tl;dr there's a weirdly larger amount more over her forehead than there used to be (except from side angles?) and she looks like she belongs in a medieval ballroom party or as a queen, wheras in the original she just looks like... well, a normal person in a cool suit
