Before anything else:
Go to the Akurasu wiki, they got translation-related things you could be looking for in this thread compiled in a neat-looking format where you can actually search for things. Aside from that, there's also actual translation patches now. Feel free to stick around for talking about the games though.

Soo, if you clicked on this and thought that I needed one, then you are a nice person.
But this is not my intention.
As you know, if you are interested in this series, bar the first game (Kou/E) everything else is left completely untranslated.
This is due to difficulties on the technical side, that were present in Kou as well which discouraged possible translators (afaik there was someone here that wanted to get this done, but sadly nothing really came of it.)

So, while I may not be able to piece together and implement a full translation with story and all I am currently playing this game and doing a "translation" of nearly all necessary gameplay elements on the go for you to use if you want to play this game as well and since it is vastly improved on its predecessor in terms of visuals and music it is really enjoyable even without knowing about the exact plot and conversations.

So, to cut to the chase: Here's what I have even with pretty pictures. Beware of spoilers though, since I have a list of characters and their abilities (but not, when they join. The order I've listed them in is rather random)

Menus

List of Skills

Cherry

Tipsy: Starting Power +5
Rising Force: Increases Power by 3 each round
Shotgunning: Dmg of attacks with more than 1 range increased by 20% if standing adjacent to target
Support Atk.: Enables to assist an adjacent ally in attacking 1*Skilllvl per round. (Maximum level is 2)
Support Def.: Enables to take a hit for an adjacent Ally 1*Skilllvl per round. (Maximum level is 2)
(characters can break this limit if they have the ability innately and gain levels in it via leveling up (Daiyousei gets lvl3 at lvl32 what a joke. Like I'll ever have her take a hit :V (I'll revise this statement as her support defense has helped me out quite a few times as a last resort)))
Support Proficiency: Support Attacks will always strike critically

Instinct Dodge: Evasion & Accuracy go up as HP goes down  Berserk: Skill & Defense go up as HP goes down     -    Threshold at which they first activate decreases (requires you to be at a less low amount of HP) and effect increases as Level of respective skill increases. Strength of effect rises as HP goes down further. (Maximum level is probably 10 ⑨‎ and activation % is skilllvl*10, meaning that with Berserk lvl6 it would first activate at 60% remaining HP)
Random Dodge: Grants seperately calculated chance of evading any incoming attack, even when in focus mode.
Chance is increased if your skill is lower than the attacker's. (Maximum level is 2)
Streaming: Reduces DMG taken from grazing. Lvl1 reduces by 33%, lvl2 by 50% (Maximum level is 2)
Pattern Type: Grants a (Skilllvl/16)*100 % chance of activating counter when attacked. Counter: attacks first when attacked (Maximum level is most likely 16 or 10)
Unfocused/Focused Movement: +1 to the respective Movement range

P-Abilities: Grant an additional +1 to Power for Hitting/Evading/an Ally defeating an enemy, +2 for P-Damaged
Predict: Evasion & Accuracy +20 when at or above 130 Power  Belief: Skill & Defense +20 when at or above 130 Power
Farsight: Nulls Accuracy & Dmg penalty for attacking over long distances. (Imagine Komachi with that & her infinite Range ability :V)

Economy: Reduces MP costs by 20%, rounded down
Capacity: Increases Ammo-maximum on all attacks by 50%, rounded down
Stat boosts: increase the respective stat by 5xlvl

Eternal

Support Proficiency: Support Attacks will always strike critically

Instinct Dodge: Evasion & Accuracy go up as HP goes down  Berserk: Skill & Defense go up as HP goes down     -    Threshold at which they first activate decreases (requires you to be at a less low amount of HP) and effect increases as Level of respective skill increases. Strength of effect rises as HP goes down further. (Maximum level is probably 10 ⑨‎ and activation % is skilllvl*10, meaning that with Berserk lvl6 it would first activate at 60% remaining HP)
Random Dodge: Grants separately calculated chance of evading any incoming attack, even when in focus mode.
Chance is increased if your skill is lower than the attacker's. (Maximum level is 2)
Streaming: Reduces damage taken from grazing. Lvl1 reduces by 50%, lvl2 by 75% (Maximum level is 2)
Pattern Type: Grants a chance of activating counter when attacked. Counter: attacks first when attacked, maximum level is 3
Blocking: Can only be learned by characters that wield a weapon/shield. Grants them either Parry and/or Block depending on the character. (No Sanae, your Miko-stick doesn't count. "But Reimu-" She's been hitting people in the face with that thing for much longer than you, so she gets to parry with it.)
Unfocused/Focused Movement: +1 to the respective Movement range

P-Abilities: Grant an additional +1 to Power for Hitting/Evading/an Ally defeating an enemy, +2 for P-Damaged
Guard: Reduces damage taken by 10% per Skilllvl when at or above 130 Power

Equalizer: Ignores Damage-penalty when attacking larger targets
Economy: Reduces MP costs by 20%, rounded down
Capacity: Increases Ammo-maximum on all attacks by 50%, rounded down
SP +: Increases SP by 5 per level

The other Stat Boost skills have been moved to just boosting the respective stat through the use of PP. To do so select the other option at the top of the skill-menu.

Personalities

Cherry

Do note that several characters have a different personality from the first game. I've derived most of the characters from others personality (I was pretty sure that Alice is still calm, as is Patchouli and the entire bunch of strong-willed people won't suddenly be sadists or something
(I miss Yuuka...))

Resolute: Aya, Cirno, Reimu

Cautious: Daiyousei

Important Gameplay stuff

-Waifu Points no longer unlock skills, these are now gained via level up. Instead they increase the limit for maximum Power by 5 each level, up to 175.
Additionally each Waifu Level also grants +1 level to every category of stats you can level up via points. So the maximum achievable level there is actually 10 in this installment.

-You can cycle through several displays on the top left via "Select" while in the field.

-Skills that only activate under certain conditions will light up blue if active and in the first screen of the Character Status Screen a blue, glowing message will appear.

-Patchouli's "Magic Barrier" blocks all types of attacks at a 100% success rate. However it breaks upon exceeding the threshold, thus absorbing either all dmg or none.

-that "? ? ?" Menu-point in the Intermission Menu: It becomes available once Nitori joins your team and lets you switch her between normal form, which is exactly like she was in Kou and Full-Armor. While in FullArmor form she gains 600HP, 100 Armor and 20MP, loses 1 Move, 1 item slot and 15 mobility. FA-Nitori also gains access to two additional attacks, that cover her deficits in range. FA-Nitori also has 0,5 more cost. (2.5 in total). standard Nitori can be tankier than FA if you have the proper items but lacks the offensive capabilities and both have a different theme. Other units become available under this menu point as the stroy progresses

-Sanae: When she joins you you'll notice that she has a special gauge on the bottom right, her faith meter. It rises by 0,5% for each time she moves (distance irrelevant), by some percent when she takes part in battle and by 7% when she defeats an enemy.
As it rises some things unlock: -at 20% her barrier becomes active. It has a 100% activation rate and reduces damage taken from all attack-types by 750 at a 10MP cost.
-her Mobility is affected as well  >10% - 120  >50% - 125  100% - 130 (assuming unmodified)
- "Sea Opening "Moses's Miracle" uses up 10% Faith
- "Summon: Takeminakata" uses up 30% Faith
Also her attacks get stronger and more accurate and gain +1 Range with her faith rising, but (!) her Mana costs increase by up to 15 on every attack at 100% Faith. The meter decreases again if Sanae idles for too long. You can prevent its decrease by simply moving at least one tile each turn, as that gives you the increase.
- at Maximum Faith she gets +15% accuracy, +1 range, +15MP costs and +300 damage (making Summon: Takeminakata stronger than a standard Master Spark in theory but actually not since her offensive stats are not as good Marisa's)

-Utsuho: Utsuho has the ability "Limiter Release": It becomes usable once she reaches 130 Power and switches her into a different form. Once activates it's not reversible until the stage ends! She gains 10 extra Mobility, her 10%MP regen turns into 20%, she gains 10%HP regen (only with the associated personal skill equipped, which also gives her an additional +50 maximum Power (total of 220)), a 750 damage barrier (10MP to activate), +100 attack power on all attacks, access to Giga Flare (1-7 range Map attack, P, 110MP), Yatagarasu Piledriver (1-3 ranged attack, P, 70MP) and Abyss Nova (1-4 ranged attack, P, 100MP). However she also gains a Heat gauge. It maxes out at 200, rises by 5 each turn, 160 when using Giga Flare, 40 for Yatagarasu Piledriver, 80 for Abyss Nova. Once Utsuho reaches 200 Heat she overheats and reverts back to her pre-Yatagarasu form (the one she was in in stage 45) and loses access to pretty much everything remotely powerful for the rest of the stage. You do get SUPER OKUU PUNCH though so it's okay.

-Nue: Nue can change between 3 different forms with a command in her menu during a chapter. She can change freely between colours (forms) as many times as necessary.
Form changes affect her HP, Mobility, Armor, Movement range, Terrain ranks and attacks.
Assuming Red (regular) as a base: Green: -1/1 Movement range, +2550 HP, -50 Mobility, +500 Armor, Water rank C -> A (long range, sturdy type)
Danmaku Chimera: +150 Damage, Range from 1-4 to 1-5, Accuracy mod from +5 to +10, Crit mod from +50 to +15, loses P
UFO attack: +250 Damage, Range from 1-5 to 3-8, Accuracy mod from +20 to +10, Crit mod from +15 to +20, P to L
Nightmare of Heinkyou: +1 maximum range
last attack: -100 Damage, Range from 1-3 to 4-6, Accuracy mod from +15 to +20, loses P

                                                               Blue: +2/1 Movement range, -1800 HP, +20 Mobility, -200 Armor, Water rank C -> A (mobile close-range type)
Danmaku Chimera: -350 Damage, Range from 1-4 to 1-3, Accuracy mod from +5 to +10, Crit mod from +50 to +10
Undefined Darkness: -400 Damage, Range from 1-6 to 1-4, gains P
UFO attack: -250 Damage, Range from 1-5 to 1-4, Accuracy mod from +20 to +10, Crit mod from +15 to +10
Nightmare of Heinkyou: -400 Damage, Range from 3-6 to 1-3, Accuracy mod from +30 to +10, Crit mod from +10 to +15, gains P
last attack: -600 Damage, Range from 1-3 to 1-2, Accuracy mod from +15 to +20

Changing colours also refills the ammo of Nue's UFO attacks, though that's probably a bug.

-Mokou gains +5 to all stats and some extra Power (does not increase her limit) whenever she resurrects.

-Renew also happens to reduce the recipients power by 10 each time. This is nothing new but something people like to forget, so use renew with care.

-Stage65: A whole bunch of people learn new attacks. Youmu regains the map attack she had way back in You, the Aki sisters gain 2 new combination attacks, the Palanquin Ship gets a new attack, the Three Fairies of Light gain a new attack (with a new theme as well!) and Meiling also gets a new attack.

-Friendship Boni: Each friendship level grants +5% Hit- and Dodgechance (and even damage modifiers if they go really high) as long as the charcaters in question are right next to each other, basically holding hands.
Example: Shizuha has "Sister's Combination lvl1" active and stands next to Minoriko. Minoriko doesn't have it active -> Shizuha gets +5% hit and dodge, Minoriko as well
All characters that have a friendship skill with someone also have a passive bonus and some more people as well.
-Marisa & Alice (5%)
-Marisa & Reimu (5%)
-Cirno & Daiyousei (15%)
-Elly & Kurumi (5%)
-Aki Sisters (10%)
-Sunny, Star & Luna (10% when next to one, 18% when next to two)
-Shou & Nazrin (10%)
-Mokou -> Keine (5%, meaning that Keine gets the 5%)
-Patchouli & Koakuma (10%)
-Nitori & Hina (10%)
-Aya & Momiji (5% for Ayaya, 10% for Momimo)
-Reimu & Sanae (10%)
-and probably some others. But no ideas right now and I don't really want to go through every possible combination there is.

-Characters that have a Star-symbol at their kills gain +5 starting Power. This happens at 50 kills. At 150 kills they have +10 starting Power.

-something about version differences and carryover: Patch 1.00 carries your data over in a way that your characters keep their exact amount of Graze/PP and the skills they have learned. The thing with this is that stuff like "Random Dodge" is much more expensive, (un)focused movement is changed and more expensive as well and such. So if you really are a perfectionist and want to plan way ahead you can use the version 1.00 to carry over your data to keep your skills and save some Graze/PP that way. Patch 1.08 carries your data over a little bit different in that your characters lose the skills they've acquired in Kou but get some Graze/PP refunded. I've calculated a bit and came to the conclusion that you get to keep more Graze/PP with 1.00 if you "abuse" the cheaper skills (about 150, likely more).
You can put your saved data from 1.00 to 1.08  once you've actually saved in You and the Skills & Graze/PP will stay the way they were on 1.00.
Items and WP will be kept either way (Waifu Points get reset between Scarlet and Cherry)

Upgrades that have been made via Points get stored as "levels" so if you i.e. upgraded Rumia's attacks to the max for +500 basedamage they will be adjusted to +650. So feel free to already upgrade in Kou

-The way Grazing interacts with damage reductions has been changed drastically compared to Kou: In Kou it would ignore any reduction when Grazing and calculate the damage off of the theoretical unreduced value. In You and onward it takes the reduced value and then calculates the final damage after Grazing. Guard and defending halve the damage, Grit makes it being calculated off of the 10 damage but now gets consumed in the process. (So no, you cannot put Cirno into Focusmode, activate Grit, toss her somewhere and have her unkillable.) (Well, actually you can if you give her a high enough rank of Instinct Dodge, Streaming and improve her mobility.)

-Having a cleared file of Sakuya's side-story grants all SDM member a free upgrade in HP, MP, Armor, Mobility and Attack Power. (thanks Ryza for that one)

Eternal

The partner system

You can team up two characters to get some benefits:

The character in the back will always attack together with the one in front, should an attack be performed.
Range limitations do not apply to such a support attack, costs of any sort do.
If the two are capable of performing a combination attack, they can do so if all other conditions are met (Power, Range).
The partner can still perform her separate support attack when performing a combination attack.
Friendship Boni will activate.
You can freely switch between the two as often as you wish as long as they did not yet perform their action. Aura type abilities will activate for as long as the respective partner is in the front.
If one partner has an aura type skill it will not be active as long as she is in the back.
If the partner in the back is able to perform Support Defense she may do so for her partner.
Seishin that one team-member activates do not count for the other one as well. Exceptions exist.
There are situations where the partner won't be able to attack, I do not know when that happens.
If a partner is capable of performing a normal support-attack she may do so as long as she is in the front. When performing such a support-attack the attacking order is as follows:
Attacker's partner -> Attacker -> Enemy -> Support Attacker. The support attackers partner will not take action.

Changes from the previous installment(s):

Spent Waifu points will not be reset
Waifu Level no longer increase the maximum Power limit
Daiyousei exchanged Cheer for Infuse
Parry has been removed as a static skill of certain characters and has been replaced with "Blocking". Need to look into that further.
Having Rumia in the back of a team with her "Nightstalker" skill active will not give you the Night-field but will make it Night for the character Rumia is paired with.
Having Wriggle inthe back of a team with her "Fixed Star on Earth" skill active will not give you the Night-blocking field but will block night for the character Wriggle is paired with.

Stuff:

Later Bosses have an Ability that prevents them from dropping below 100 Power and cancels out Yamame's "Miasma Field", Hatate's  "Psychographic Assault" and Letty's "Crystallize" called "Special Resistance".

Once a character has all of her categories upgraded to level 10 you may choose between one of the following:
HP +2000
MP +100
Mobility +20
Armor +300
(un)focused Movement range +1
Activation cost for barriers -50%
Weapon-accuracy +20%
Critical Hit chance +20%
Weapon-range +1
Weapon-damage +200
Character's Sky affinity becomes S
Character's Ground & Water affinities become S

As of Yume we can get exactly one character to Waifu Level 10. It costs 1000 WP and the earliest point this is achievable is after stage 67. This also confers additional bonuses, similarly to fully upgrading a character. These are as follows, you may pick any two of them:
One extra item slot, can't have more than four
10% extra damage dealt
Weapon range +2, Movement range +2(1)
50% MP and Ammo regeneration per turn
20% SP regeneration per turn

Additionally the following is granted:
One additional move per turn (Yes, that is one extra move per turn like a lot of bosses have. One extra move per turn)
Max SP +100
50% extra Exp, PP and Points gained (stacks with Gain, Fortune and Bless, does not stack with the point-boosting item, does stack with the PP boosting item (multiplicatively for a total of x4.5), does stack with the exp-boosting item (additively for a total of x3).
Max Power +30 (stacks with Power Limit Break)

There is no penalty for your party-members getting shot down except for not having them for the remainder of the stage.

Sanae's faith gauge in Eternal:
- Hitting an enemy, avoiding an enemy's attack, moving: +1
- Grazing, performing a critical hit, performing Support Attack or Support Defend: +2
- Getting hit by an enemy, missing an enemy: -1
- Ending a turn without doing anything: -10
- Enemy defeated: +4
- Ally defeated: -4
- Cured by an ally: +4
- Seishin used on Sanae by an ally: +4

Afterword:
As you can see there is still some stuff untranslated or unclear. Till now I've been unable to figure out what some skills do, even after testing and other stuff is also eluding me. Feel free to post your ideas or an actual translation if you have something.
Names for skills (stuff like Shade, Black Sabbath, Magic Barrier, Economy) have either been just pieced together from the Katakana, reused from Kou if fitting or I've come up with them myself (like Economy and Gatekeeper).

I'll expand this as I get further in the game, adding characters and their respective skills, Seishin, Bonus-WP conditions and hopefully the missing stuff. once I play it again, with some different characters.
But using this, the game already becomes quite playable. Especially if you played Kou or actual SRW games.

In the case that you are a capable programmer and willing to implement this rough translation into the game, then go ahead. Just message me beforehand so that I can cheer you on. (Or leave a post here.)

Also I'm doing an LP-series about this and its predecessor (Kou/Scarlet). It's in German but it can't hurt to mention it here. link to the playlist. It's done for now. Waiting for Ei.

So, I'm playing on the 1.00 version, which so far has not troubled me much (there are some weird particles on Reimu's Evil Sealing Circle, some other attacks seem to lack some sounds) since it all isn't gamebreaking.
But when I got to stage 30 I found myself with 4 Lily Whites when there was supposed to be the 3 Light Fairies and 1 Lily White. (Also Marisa was missing)

So I downloaded the 1.00 -> 1.08 patch from the Sanbondo website but it doesn't work. It seems to go through all the files that are in the folder and then gives me an error message and stops.
The same thing happens when I try to patch it step by step, starting with 1.00 -> 1.01
I've already looked through the old thread where some tried to put together a translation project but couldn't find anything there either.

Edit: Okay, apparently the patcher has a grudge against the Readme file and refuses to work with it around. So I had to expell it from the folder to appease the patcher. Then it finally patched and all my problems got solved. And all the time I thought the three light fairies were just bystanders only talking in cutscenes. :V

This seems to be really useful, I can't comment further since I didn't play the first game, did any of these games ever got a wiki ? (i mean a JP wiki)

In case you have curiosity the patcher error happens because the original readme was overwritten in Unicode, it's fixable by opening the readme and saving it in ANSI with Notepad under JP locale regional settings (CRC should be A20E1B22), then it will patch without needing to delete the file.

Also I remember being mentioned that starting from v1.07 the game files are encrypted.

Thanks about the info with the patcher. I'm really not good with this technical stuff (aside from simple matters). I guess I can live without the readme. :V
That thing with the encrypted files is something I read about as well. Which is a sad thing since making an English patch is really difficult this way.

About the wiki: On the English one there is an entry about the series that contains the info about Kou but from You onwards there is really nothing there. I wouldn't mind having someone post it there once this is finished and has been proofread/checked.
I did look for other wiki entries but everything I do leads me to the English ones, so I don't really know. But I guess there's none.

Do you think it would be possible to get the story translations posted somewhere too? Even if the game can't be patched, the translated dialogue can still be read separately after all. I really loved the first game and I want to enjoy all aspects of the rest of the series.

I'd gladly but my knowledge of Japanese doesn't get me far in terms of actual dialogue so I sadly cannot provide a translated story. (It would take me hours to translate even the first mission and even then it would probably be full of errors and missing all the fine literary constructions.)

There was a thread some time ago where some members here gathered to get a translation project going complete with patch and all but that staggered and was forgotten because of technical difficulties.
I think I've done this in the OP already but i encourage everyone who is able and willing to contribute to do so in this thread.

I'm btw. almost done with identifying all teachable skills, only one is missing. But I'm not at my computer at the moment so I'll update that later. (There's also some other new stuff) Done

I've also streamlined some wordings and increased the fontsize of all fully translated skills on the character-chart because that was a pain to read on here. Now it's a little bit better.

An acquaintance asked me to share this page to help out (it's mostly similar menu things to what's been done here). Other than getting Shou's 2nd ability wrong it should be a good reference.
Also said you used the Indian name rather than Japanese name for the deity in Shou's 2nd ability. And that Zeal should be Snipe.

-Patchouli's "Magic Barrier" blocks all types of attacks at a 100% success rate. However it breaks upon exceeding the threshold, thus absorbing either all dmg or none.

Pro tip when looking for a Japanese video game wiki :
type (or paste) the Japanese name of the game you're looking for (and maybe wiki too). If there is a wiki, it will most likely be at the atwiki website.

Suddenly posts, wow.
Thanks for the help, I'll incorporate what you posted, just give me a little bit of time.

Also said you used the Indian name rather than Japanese name for the deity in Shou's 2nd ability. And that Zeal should be Snipe.

That I did, I could change it but it is used in canon somewhere as well. I'll have to rewrite the ability now anyways. But in the ingame description it has something with "dmg" and then +10% so it is kinda weird.
The thing with Snipe was that I probably had her Hit&Away ability active and thought it was because of the Seishin.

Pro tip when looking for a Japanese video game wiki :

That's strange, I did look with the Japanese name. Oh well.

I'm afraid I do not get this reference. :V

AT Fields used by the EVA Units in Super Robot Wars(The inspiration for this very game line as you all may well know) behave in almost the exact same way.
Admittedly, the ones I'd had experience with have never triggered...Maybe I just haven't been diligent enough in leveling/upgrading the EVA team.....

Done
But from the looks of it I'll have to rewrite it all again with even bigger font. But I'm really not in for this right now, I'll do that probably once I have to edit it anyways.

The only actual SRW game I've played was OG1 and that probably not even halfway through. :V But it did have barriers that triggered always (Love you Granzon </3)
And TK-Fields, that seem to be the exact same thing.

I've beaten OG1, OG2, and J. and I've been hammering away at Alpha Gaiden(Getting the G-Bits and R-1 are insanely difficult secrets to get...). I've also dabbled in K, W, and L.
L in particular has the Rebuild version of the EVA Units, so maybe that's why the AT Fields didn't quite activate as often as they should.
K, for all that the protagonist is disliked, has Zoids Genesis. and W has none other than the King of Braves himself, GaoGaiGar!
L is the debut of Linebarrels of Iron, among other series such as Iczer-1,(this version of Linebarrel follows the anime, but the incarnation in SRW UX follows the manga, and is thus more developed.)

In MX, IIRC, AT field have both a morale requirement and an EN cost.
Also, you get the most of your AT Field by making your EVA tanky. : P

The only actual SRW game I've played was OG1 and that probably not even halfway through. :V But it did have barriers that triggered always (Love you Granzon </3)
And TK-Fields, that seem to be the exact same thing.

Barriers usually have a morale requirement, some higher than others. Also, TK field only works if the pilot have the psychic power skill. You know, people like Ryusei.

Anyway, I have made some translations. They are probably not as accurate as I would like them to be but you can use them as a step to go even further.

支援攻撃 : I believe this is one of the support skills of MX. Usually, a support attack requires that you have someone with the support attack ability to back you up.
However, this support skill in MX works differently. if at the moment you attack you have this skill and someone is next to you and can attack the ennemy with a specific attack with the 支 property,
that person will attack the ennemy doing reduced damage and then you'll attack the ennemy with boosted damage.
The higher your 支援攻撃 level (up to 4 because, grid) the more helpers you can call for backup when attacking as long as they can all target the opponent with their 支 attack.

Marisa
努力家? (Hardworker?) : experience rate + 20%
Also, I believe Surasuta- is actually Thruster and if I read right, it cost 10 MP too.
Speedster or whatever only works in high movement mode .

Alice's Hourai doll has Support Defense, Shangai Doll has support defense.

Patchouli
高速詠唱 (High speed aria) : After you attacked without moving, you are able to move. Basically Hit and Away.
エンチャント(火符)(Enchant (Fire Sign)) : umm... Anytime after you moved you'll be able to use Agni Sign?

Mei Ling :
背水の陣 (Last Stand) : Um, if I understand correctly, say something about correcting the Defense status to remaining HP. So basically Mei Ling would suddenly change to defense state and take less damage? Activation rate is based on level.
About Gatekeeper, the damage reduction happens during Support Defense.
So basically, Mei Ling is Russel. : P

Sakuya :
It's actually Chief Maid (or Maid Chief?), not just maid. : P
Anyway, when it happens, it counter the applied ability difference?
Should it overlap with "Pattern Type", um, something? I am not sure if it say the skills stacks or not. ^^;
Knife Recollection raise the MP cost as a trade-off.

Nitori : Extending Arm + : Maybe it's only me but I am reading isntead that the item command can be used after moving?

Hina : Bad Fortune : Give to your next attack the effect of... um...
"Sealing for one turn the Rate Activating Effect"?
Basically it prevent effect from triggering? Give it a try against bosses with Barrier effects for max lolz. : P
Use : 2
回転加速 (rotation acceleration) :if I understand correctly, Evade rate and damage given is corrected based on movement distance?
Long story short, the further Hina moves the better. She has good post movement attacks right?
She should also probably be paired with someone with high movement and good post movement attacks too.
厄流し : Misfortune draining? : Give your next attack the effect of "Critical while you're being shot"?
Maybe it makes the target more likely to be hit by critical hit. Give it a try on bosses and see what happens.
Use : 2.

Minoriko :
収穫 (Harvest) : At the time you clear a stage, you recieve  お芋 (Potato).
You are also able to own up to 99 of them.
Because why not? : P
Good Harvest : correct me if I am mistaken but the description say PP, not SP?
黄金の味 (Gold Flavor) : should Minoriko be, um, deployed ? (出撃), the Potato item get an effect up. 20 SP recovery.
Because why not? : P
Sisters Combination : Mutual Trust level correction + 1 when with Shizuka.
Maybe they mean if they are both in the same squad?

Shizuka :
?び :The next attack gain the effect "For 1 turn your power isn't rising"?
Sounds boss-worthy.
黄金の秋 (Gold Autumn) : Experience rate + 20% received damage -10%
That's a decent passive. ^^
Sisters Combination : Mutual Trust level correction + 1 when with Minoriko.
Maybe they mean if they are both in the same squad?

Hey, you updated the picture while I was making this post! X D
Oh well, no big deal. ^^

Thanks for your efforts anyway. I've added that Alice's dolls have support skills (I assume you meant that Shanghai has support attack since that is what she had when I checked.)

And I'm a really big fan of shields of any kind and really had to struggle to see how worthless e.g. Reimu's actually is since she still takes buttloads of damage and should really just let herself get beaten into red for Instinct Dodge to activate and then dodge everything still not dodge as good as Sanae, Aya, Marisa or even Rumia, Alice or Mokou :V
I'll probably also never take off Rumia's Shade buff even though I have Kurumi in my active party and that would give nice synergy in theory (It actually wouldn't, because Kurumi is part of my long range Laser-Artillery squad together with Marisa and Alice since she is the only one capable of properly providing support attack for Master Spark in my team and it just goes so well together, but I digress)

I'm really happy with the progress we're making here. The teachable skills have now all been properly identified and I can theoretically add all character-specific skills into the graphic once they learn them!
If anyone of you is playing this and could provide me with screenshots for the remaining abilities of the characters I'm not leveling so that I can add that then that would be absolutely fantastic.
(My core-party is Marisa, Alice, Kurumi, Lily, Elly, Komachi, Keine,  Sanae, Ayaya, Rumia, Mokou and if there's some leftover space Sakuya and Reimu (or if the latter forces her way into the active party). So anyone not listed will for now not get updated on personal skills)

Keine :
世話焼き (Bother) :  Trust correction level + 1 to Mokou.

Mokou doesn't have a similar skill that boost Keine.  :P

Komachi :
About the Narrow Confine, more specifically, her attacks with a range of 3 or more gets infinite range.
If you get a range boosting equipment, consider trying it on Komachi just in case.
Also you can't move while it's in effect.

Nazrin :
Correct me if I'm mistaken but the effect Rat Bite inflict on the enemy last for 1 turn, not one attack.
A must for boss battles.

Shou :
Devotee of Bishamonten : I believe 与える means here given, not recieved?
So basically she gets an attack boost?

Cirno and Daiyousei : their Fairy Duo have different effects.
Daiyousei give +2 trust correction level to Cirno.
Cirno only give +1 to Daiyousei but she recieve a trust level correction from Daiyousei.
Something like that.
If it would be possible to boost Daiyousei trust level to the roof, there might be a visible effect on Cirno? Just a thought.

Sunny Milk : Reflection won't prevent you from being counterattacked.  :dealwithit:

About Three Fairy of light, more specifically each fairy receive a trust level correction from the 2 others and give to the two persons +2 trust level.

I guess I'll read about the effects of trust levels from the original games and edit all of those later. I didn't know the exact effects of those and left it ambiguous for now.

I thought the same with Shou's skill and then there was that other translation that HGH posted which had it as -10% dmg taken.

Nazrin's debuff does indeed last for 1 turn, I'll (again) correct that

And about Komachi being unable to move while that skill is active: I noticed that while testing and then forgot about it subsequently because I was like "WHAT SHE GETS 20% HP REGENERATION, NEED"
I'll also add that with the at least 3 range requirement but I doubt that that has any effect on how people use this skill since it would be kind of a waste to activate one of only two charges only to then use that standard weak attack. :V

I absolutely forgot about Keine's skill since I couldn't find a neat name for it at first and wanted to return to it but then of course forgot to do that.

And where did you get that Sunny's skill would prevent counterattacks?

Edit: Okay, the friendship level thing is apparently really simple. There's friendship, love and rivalry and here we only have friendship effects, right?
I'll write it down in the gameplay elements section and edit the graphic and I'll do it now since it's bugging me if I don't.

The skill first mention the "not being targetable" effect.
The next short sentence then mention that counterattacks will hit,
probably in case some peope activate Reflection and then somehow believe they can attack that big bad nasty boss without then afterward recieving a crushing punisment
and then complain that this game is lame and buggy and so on for some reason. :P

Ah, that's fine I guess. Thought my wording wasn't clear.
But to be fair, the 1.00 version of the game is rather buggy. It gave me 4 Lily White's for mission 30 instead of 1 + the 3 fairies. :V Lily is apparently actually Flan

I've looked into the issue with Shou's skill and it definitely increases her dmg output. I've compared it to Reimu's "Youkai Buster" and Mokou's "Phoenix Immolation" (both undoubtedly increase dmg dealt) and the formulation is practically the same. While I was at it I've also looked at Shizuha's "Golden Autumn" and corrected it to "takes less damage" instead of "deals less damage" (This is all not edited into the opening post yet)

Edit: I've redone the graphic for character skills, corrected some errors,  cleaned the entire thing up, further increased the font size and added a proper explanation for Friendship-boni further down in the OP.

I've beaten OG1, OG2, and J. and I've been hammering away at Alpha Gaiden(Getting the G-Bits and R-1 are insanely difficult secrets to get...). I've also dabbled in K, W, and L.
L in particular has the Rebuild version of the EVA Units, so maybe that's why the AT Fields didn't quite activate as often as they should.
...

AT Fields only had the base 100 morale as an activation requirement whenever they  had a requirement at all.  IIRC in L they simply don't activate when there's two AT Fields against each other and since they are always force deployed in Angel scenarios you see their barriers not working more than normal unless you are using them a lot on your own.  I could be remembering wrong, it's been a while but I have a sharp memory of it simply not activating at all against Angels.

It wasn't like that in Alpha or F though and as a result some Angels were completely impotent as Shinji or Asuka could just defend against them all day as the early Angels could not put out enough power to crack an AT Field when the target is defending (that is to say, taking half damage then the barrier check meant that to break a 3K threshold they would have to hit with 6K damage to kill an Eva).  Also really valuable in F thanks to Asuka's Taunt spell in combination with how AT Fields work.

Also keep in mind that attacks have their own properties in newer titles too, Barrier Pierce being one of them.  Many finishers in L completely ignore barriers- it's why the Gurren MK II is so good in Z2.1- its finisher ignored size based damage reductions and bypassed barriers while having a very cheap 35 EN cost and a tiny 115 morale lock- it was so easy to get it online and spamming it on everything with little need for rationing.

The only actual SRW game I've played was OG1 and that probably not even halfway through. :V But it did have barriers that triggered always (Love you Granzon </3)
And TK-Fields, that seem to be the exact same thing.
For what it's worth, the final boss of this game has a phase that makes her function like Granzon did in in its original appearance in Super Robot Wars 2- Granzon was immune to ranged attacks.  Yeah it was pretty busted, and you had to fight it and the Valsion at the same time- your only mercy was that the game ended when Valsion goes down, Granzon was optional.

So, I apparently just beat the last stage with capturing all spellcards bar one. With Rumia solo. ye
And I probably could have captured that last one, because I forgot that she has the Fury seishin at that moment and miscalculated the turns and ended up dealing 300 less damage than necessary.
It was really silly, I just did it because I could and I'll redo the stage properly. :V

http://i.imgur.com/zDdQip0.jpg
She has a Rat Tail (+5 Mobility), Oni Nail (+50 Armor, +500 HP), Tengu Clogs (+1 Move, +5 Mobility) and Suwako's Oshirasama, which pushes her basedamages through the roof as it scales with the base cost of the character. (1.5 gets +350, 2 gets +300, 2.5 gets +250).
I mean, her standard for free tackle deals more damage (yes, deals more damage not "has more base") than Reimu's Fantasy Seal and Demarcation surpasses Marisa's Master Spark in basedamage even without the  Oshirasama. :V
She also takes hits like a champ and dodges way too often cause Random Dodge is broken in the later stages.

I am practically done with Marisa's Route. (Just need to beat that stage again) but I won't go into Reimu's route too soon, since I have stuff to do. I'll probably just add her WP bonus conditions from that chart I got (done) and test them once I get there. I'd still appreciate your support via screenshots from the missing abilities of the various characters, as I already said earlier.

But this whole thing already looks pretty nice and I am thankful for your support.

And why did nobody tell me that I screwed up the battle-menu graphic? Fixed it now

Also, this:

is definitely a Moriya Shrine conspiracy

Edit: added lvl1 versions of "Sunny Barrier+", "Silence" & "Radar", "Unmoving Great Library" (forgot that somehow before) and I found out that not only Alice & Marisa have a passive friendship bonus but Elly & Kurumi as well.

Thank you so much for this guide. I actually feel like I know what I'm doing this time (as supposed to when I played the demo) and am generally enjoying the game.

I gotta say, I'm feeling really underleveled though. I'm about to tackle Mission 33 and my party is generally between 26 and 29, with a couple exceptions on either end. Might not matter though, as Mission 32's boss felt really easy, level difference or no level difference. Still, I can't help but ask if this is normal or if I'm just somehow missing out on a ton of experience somehow.

On my finished file the teammembers I took into the final mission are all around level 31/32. Some odd ones out at 33, 35 that broke the spellcards but that is normal to have after a mission.
So I wouldn't definitely say that you're underleveled. It depends on your teamsize. Mine was 13 but if you take many low cost units then EXP of course gets more split up.
Just remember to properly utilize Cheer and Gain. It really is noticable to double what a boss gives after breaking a spell. It shouldn't be too hard to fit one of the 3 that learn it into your team.  (Reimu got 4 level ups at once for example since I gave her the fitting final blow on the final boss for proper dramatic execution.)

A general rule of thumb is that the fodder enemies are good for getting PP and the bosses for EXP. That is because enemies give a different amount of exp depending on your level and bosses will always be above you. The smaller enemies in stages give around 5 to 8 pp, the bigger generally 10 while bosses never give more than 20 but huge amounts of experience.

Edit: Finally added Random Dodge and Streaming to the list of skills which I have miraculously forgotten to put there until now. Also set all the skillnames to fancy italics so that you can see them more easily.
Also I'm currently doing an LP-series about Kou & You (Kou is already done). It's in German but maybe there's someone here who is interested and it probably can't hurt to mention it. Here is a link to the playlist. I'll probably link it in the OP as well

Edit: updated the "Friendship bonus" stuff, added that "Fury" ignores "Guard", updated characters chart with a new skill for Cirno & an upgraded skill for Marisa (I hope she doesn't learn anything anymore or else I'll have to reformat the graphic :V)
Cirno is surprisingly strong by the way. Give her lvl2 Streaming & Random Dodge, put her next to Dai, focus when in Danmaku and take less damage than what you regenerate or just dodge entirely. For anything else there's the failsafe Grit and damage-output is alright as well. Works even better when you put her into Luna's and Star's Hit- and Dodge-fields
Oh, and I've added Suika to the character chart as well. So much progress.
And also updated it to include Cirno's Ice Barrier stuff and corrected the way Sunny's Sunny Barrier works.

Edit: If anyone not from the middle row learns even one new skill I'll have to remake the chart. If that happens I'll most likely split it into several graphics and also (once again) increase the font size.

Edit: Added a list of Equipment

I finally got my hands on the trial version of Ei, so here's a little something. I'll merge it with the OP once the actual game is released and stuff.
Anything not mentioned stayed the same.

Conditions for Bonus WP

Stage35: Have Cirno, Reimu and Sakuya attack something after the rest of the party shows up.

Stage36: Shoot down Sunny, Star & Luna in 1 turn. Can be shot down separately.

Stage37: -

Exception: Gain

Changes from the previous installment(s):

Spent Waifu points will not be reset
Waifu Level no longer increase the maximum Power limit
Tipsy now can be leveled up to level 2
Rising Force now only increases Power by 2 each turn instead of 3
Rumia lost 1 item-slot
"Rouse" gives +5 Power instead of +10 to the target and freezes the game
Minoriko's "Growth" ability now freezes the game
The three light fairies may not combine as of now

And then everything else here:

This is all most likely subject to change as I was playing version 0.01 of the game.

Also it looks like there's a high chance we get playable Yuuka this time around.

You can create duplicates of the Palanquin ship by putting someone into the back of its team (what makes this character unaccessible for as long as she is in the back of the ship's team as you cannot actually have it in a team (even though it would be kinda cool to have Marisa spark someone and have the ship follow up with a spark of its own but whatever)) which serves...
no purpose whatsoever since you cannot deploy the duplicates and they don't even show up beyond the intermission menu. :V
Oh, but it does take up space in your team somehow. A ghost ship that you don't see but it eats up your supplies, wooooohooooooo.

When Sunny uses it in Kou it DOES prevent counters >_<' The players seem to get weaker versions of the skills the AI uses, like Sakuya's Private Square...

Well, Sakuya's Boss-version of P-Square is nice but I personally like the one she gets on your side better. Having a 50% or 25% to 40% chance to evade any attack while still having the ability to counterattack is pretty neat.
But yeah, it is always kinda funny to beat a boss, recruit her and have her stats drop massively. Or how Ran and Chen's evade abilities are reduced once they join you. :V

It is especially funny if you meet them again in the third game and they keep their Waifu-Level, Point investment and Skills.
Fighting a Rumia with nearly 2k Armor, lvl8 Berserk, sky high HP and powered up attacks while only having access to characters you really didn't pick and don't deal as much damage as you would wish is really funny. :V

Also, I've added the exact amount by which Streaming reduces the damage taken. It is 33% and 50% for lvl1 and 2 respectively. Really a broken ability on characters that have passive regeneration.

I don't have much time right now but just by looking...

Ran effect at  130 Morale power seems to double stats increase from skills. Something like that.
Chen first skill boost her movement by 2 on the ground.
Her second skill give her an attack boost of 10% at 120 Power.

You can wish for anything!

I've added what you gave me. I could have probably figured out the movement one from Chen if I had looked a little bit closer. :V It's not like the Kanji for "ground" are rarely seen in the game.
But I've left a remark at her damage skill since it doesn't seem to be a damage increase like "Youkai Buster".

Thanks

Maybe it's a different wording since it's the third game?
Alternatively, it could be that it's the damage before subtracting defense that is increased, resulting in a increase of damage that in practice, will be more than 10%?
Some testing might be needed. :3

Captain Murasama first skill double the healing while boarding in the ship from what I understand.

Good thing Chen has Drive so this was rather simple to test.
Without the skill at 120 Power she dealt 2111 damage, with it 2322. That looks actually just a 9.1% increase in damage

Shou at 122 Power without the skill dealt 3590, with it 3949 which amounts to the same 9.1% so both skills seem to do the same.
And Shou's skill still is worded the same, but who knows.

Also, "Rouse" now only gives +5 Power to the target and freezes the game
