Well, seeing as we are on the very end of the season, a lot of people play strong decks that tend to have fast games, to grind ladder quickly and rank up. So long as you reach rank 15, probably a good idea to stop right now. Even if you have a good enough deck to reach rank 5 in that time, probably not worth the rage.

You >could< try to capitalize on this by making a specific anti-aggro deck, but eh...

I've thought about trying to fight to rank 5, but I'd rather just fiddle around with silly decks in casual right now, honestly.  :derp:

Personally whenever the meta gets really aggro I stop playing to win.

I just cram my deck filled with cards that will extend the game as long as possible as Druid or Paladin and FORCE those brainless aggro decks to play beyond Turn 6.

I go for the moral victory.

Well that was definitely something magical. And beautiful. You can't exactly do the shit like this in ranked and get away with it too.

Been playing midrange pally since before it was cool. Now I just play whatever my quests tell me to.

Aside from warlock.

I think 3rd wing of League should have never been released. Murlocs are fucking everywhere. Murloc Paladins (well, that's nothing new), Murloc Shamans (Everyfin + Bloodlust = Much Face), Murloc Hunters (well it's more or less face-hunter, just murlocs themed) and i even saw Murloc Priests.

I'll take Murlocs over Secret Paladin, Aggro Paladin, MechMage, Tempo Mage, Zoo, and Mechs everyday

I have been addicted to playing Freeze Mage as of late. The deck feels so broken, especially with the high number of priests I've been seeing on ladder.

Add me if you like. Lint#1509 (NA)

Bumping this back up because Whispers of the Old Gods.

Yogg-Saron is crazy. The newest Trolden Video shows some examples.

Also my current deck is the new Casino Mage. So much spell generation. I've burnt through mega-heal C'Thun Preists and Warriors.

It's funny because Vilefin Inqu makes Anyfin can happen worse.

But that said Old Murk-Eye is gone from standard [Or SHOULD BE. It's bugged and can still be summoned my Murloc Knight] so the old 'try to summon loads of charge murlocs with Anyfin' tactic dosen't work anymore.

Trying out a range of various decks, mostly in casual. One thing I had quite a bit of success with is something that nobody else seems to be playing: Giant Paladin. Possibly because it barely uses cards from the new expansion, and the ones it does use are not central to it working. Or possibly because noone else realizes how sweet this deck can be.  :V
The deck needs some additional refining, which also might require some additional cards, but I am rather happy with how it performs at the moment. (in particular, the Raging Worgen is basically a placeholder, but I am not sure what card to put there. It basically has to be a 3 mana card that is good proactively rather than reactively, else I would just slap in Peacekeeper #2... but I might try that anyway)

Basically, comparable to Handlock in a way, where at some point you start winning from a tempo swing (or, rarely, start out with tempo immediately if you have a good opener) and then steamroll from there, with a ton of healing to stabilize against aggro. One thing to note is that the average "heaviness" or threat level of this deck is just very high. With 6 giants and 2 Ragnaros, with Thaurissan and Murloc Knight being additional high-threat minions, and even a 5/5 tuskarr drawing removal frequently... often you will go into a situation where you slam down a threat, they remove it, you slam down another, they remove it... and then on the 3rd or 4th consecutive threat, they don't have answers anymore and you just win from there. The high amount of big stuff is also why the deck is low on big-stuff-removal. You don't need much of it because almost always, you will be the person with the big stuff that has to be removed. Which is also why I would rather have a >threatening< 3-drop as the 30th card, rather than one that is just reactive, but eh.

Oh, and of course you get Yolowins from throwing a Holy Wrath at the opponent's face every now and then. In particular, happened when I was at 1 health from an Aggro Shaman beatdown, while they were at 27 (I had a weapon equipped). Molten Giant. 25 Damage. Well played.  :justasplanned:

Aside from that... Evo-Shaman, Pirate Warrior, various C'thun decks, Mill Rogue... the usual.  :V

I am also sitting on about 6k dust, but don't really have any idea what to craft because I don't know if I would enjoy playing the deck it would allow me to build, or would be any good. Maybe I should just play with what I have for a bit and then figure out what I might want, either from WotoG or Classic, based on that...

Speaking of dust I; with no intention to play anything outside of a couple of specific decks in Wild [For me; wild exists to play an unrestrained Casino Mage]; was absolutely merciless with my dusting. DE'ing the 3 useless Naxx legends [Feugen/Stallagg/Maexxna] is almost a legendary of your choice from Whispers or TGT or Base. I also DE'ed my Golden Avianna.

After all my DE'ing I had about 14k dust. I still have about 6k. I didn't even spend it all on WoG; I crafted Edwin too. [Also Whispers has very few actually decent legends outside of the... well... Old Gods. And even then one of those is meh. I might have spent more dust on Whispers Epics than Legends.]

Somehow I've gone from Rank 18 to Rank 12 playing RNG Mage. And while my insane winstreak got broken any game I lose now is very drawn out and close; amusing, and I'm still winning more than I lose. Note I hardly ever play Ranked; I almost always play Casual.

DE'ing the 3 useless Naxx legends [Feugen/Stallagg]
They are quite good if used in some sort of a combo. F/S have decent stats for their cost and they are easily combo'ed by warlock. Drop F on turn 7 (6 if you have coin in hand)  followed by S next to F and Void Terror between them on the next turn. Now you have 2 Thaddiuses and 14/? Void Terror which is pretty solid. While it requires some setup it's pretty easy to combo it. And 4/7 stats are quite good on its own so you can probably trade it with something and have F survive or hit face for 4 before dropping S/Void Terror. If F doesn't survive, you still have the other minion with the threat of Thaddius still being there.
Actually my sorta deathrattle warlock deck with eggs, void callers and other stuff was quite fun to play.

Messing about with antiaggro C'Thun Priest on ladder, and Renoman in casual - controlly Shaman with Elise for the win condition.

Wild Mode was fun until I met a Anyfin Can Happen OTK Paladin at rank 20 roping every single turn and stopped

The most blood-boilingly frustrating game I ever had was shortly before the pre-standard nerf patch. My opponent was playing a very standard face hunter. So, just, play stuff, point at the enemies face, hope you win. And my opponent did that. They did it fast. Except after finishing the actions for their turn, which took like 5 seconds at most, they would rope. Every. Single. Time.
I was even thinking of surrendering, but I did not want to give the asshole on the other side the satisfaction of winning that way. So I muscled through and (barely) won the game in the end. Which took like 15~20 minutes. Just because of all the unnecessary roping.

Meanwhile, what are you guys still playing at the moment?
I got up to rank 5 (technically 4) last season with a Pirate Warrior tempo deck (no not what online websites list as "Pirate Warrior", nor what they list as "Tempo Warrior", an actual tempo deck, focussing on weapons and pirates). Aside from that, I've been playing my Giant Paladin (now without molten giant; the nerf made it basically unplayable, and having it as a dead card solely to boost jousts and holy wrath wasn't worth it), Kleptomaniac Priest (featuring Yogg), Mill Rogue, and a couple different Shaman decks, including one I built solely to make good use of the Y'shaarj I pulled. Basically it is a midrange-y Overload Shaman with a large number of taunts. Since a good portion of the earlygame is in the form of spells, and since a lot of the minions are large for their place in the deck's mana curve due to being overload cards, the average size of what Y'shaarj pulls will usually either be pretty big, have taunt, or both.

Been playing my wombo combo warlock zoo lately and i usually don't bother going above rank 15, because seing all the same shit netdecks is kind of boring.
Also finally got my golden portrait for Gul'dan yesterday.
Aside from that i am playing my sorta weird control'ish warlock deck, C'Thun rogue with lots of return effects, trap based hunter with CotW x2 for the finisher and some kind of combo priest i guess.
