I left IRC early last night to try to write and... nope. Spent the entire time drawing instead. Maybe I should join an art contest and then I'd actually get some writing done.

Wrote 3.3k words today, intend to do much the same tomorrow to finally catch up with the target. Nanowrimo tip: emotionally torture your characters for fun, profit, and word count. It's amazing how much mileage you can get out of a single panic attack!

After a whole lot of nothing for the first week, I finally worked out an idea and an actual (well, mostly) title this morning! ...Sadly it's only 1457 words right now, which means I'm way, way behind. whoops. :V Oh well.

It can be found here on our very own PSL board. Might plop it in some other places on the net, too.

Yeah girl. Slowly cutting into that backlog, though I'll probably fall behind again tomorrow because I'm going to a friend's party.

I fell off the horse at the end of the work week, more due to being stuck at a scene I didn't know what to do with than not wanting to write, but writing on work days can be pretty taxing regardless.

Anyway, I did good today, I just need to write 2500 words tomorrow and Sunday and I'll be caught up.

I need one of those I Don't Think You Tried At All gold stars so I can stick it to my forehead until I catch up to my target word count.

Horrible. Last week I just completely burned out, I currently have slightly less than half as much written as I should.

I'm not going to bother trying to hit 50k, I'll just try to finish the first arc.

I managed to get fairly far ahead in my first week or so, but real life caught up to me after that :(  I'm sitting at like...36k, so I have plenty of time to finish, but my routine was broken something fierce, so it'll still be a struggle to get it back.

So as some of you already know I'm a huge hypocrite and started a NaNo project.  And surprisingly I've kept up with it.  Though it has pretty much been 'write a days worth extra on the weekend, still manage to fall behind a day during the week, obsessively try to catch up next weekend.'  I'm hoping Thanksgiving will give me the time to slam out the ending for when I inevitably fall behind again.

I'm also hoping to drag what I learned to writing the rest of the year.  I'll probably cut back word wise, but maybe I can keep this focus and actually finish some of the works I've let languish due to me sucking at writing for the last six months+.

welp, managed a total of 3500 words on 'Rock Solid' about this girl who has a fetish for ores and archeology before discovering a spaceship underground... and now... oh well, only several days left I don't think work allows it.

I am obliged to let this go. /fail

oh my god I don't think I've banged out this many words on a keyboard since I did a wild sprint of 10k words on the very last day when I did this back in 2010.

Damn.  O.O

I have no idea how you do things like that Ruro.  I think my best in a day was 4000, and that was with me cheating and not having work.  The only reason I think I have a chance is that I'm at home Thursday through Saturday and I might just be able to pump out the 2k words a day I need.

Meanwhile for comparison my chart.  Ignore the jump on the 19th.  I just didn't put in my words from the 18th, so it's actually about 1/2 that.

What. Ruro this is not a soap opera this is not supposed to happen. D:

Feel better soon, for all the reasons. :< It'd suck if your miraculous turn-around were ruined because of something like this.
nintendonut888: Hey Baity. I beat the high score for Sanae B hard on the score.dat you sent me. X3
Baity: For a moment, I thought you broke 1.1billion. Upon looking at my score.dat, I can assume that you destroyed the score that is my failed (first!) 1cc attempt on my first day of playing. Congratulations.

Ugh.  Being sick is terrible, being sick on a holiday is terrible (even if you don't celebrate it, and being sick when you need to write is super terrible.  I hope it clears up with some bed rest.  Or at least becomes something you can do things with.

Sorry to hear that, Ruro :( Hope you feel better soon! Like...today would be a good time!

As for me, I've finally punched through my November workload and have time to work on this again!  7.8k words to go, two days left to do it.  I think I can handle it...I think...

I think its time for me to go watch 'The Little Engine That Could,' I think thats what I really think.

I just finished the story and wrote the Epilogue!

48800 words.

 :X

It's a good thing there's another book to follow, or I'd be kinda sad.  All work and no 50000 words makes Iced a dull fairy.

I have a hard time breathing through my nose, my throat is very sore, and my voice has been reduced to little more than a whisper, but thankfully, that last one does not have much effect on my narrative voice.
