by the way here's something i'm working on
It's a calendar

You got complaints!? How it's beautiful!

Love the new one, I get a Final Fantasy feel when I look at the things around Yukari.

Here's the USS Northampton.

She is adorable! Looks great! I've seen you put a lot of stuff up and I really like this one! Great job!

I'm sorry but I feel her hat turned into a Kakuna lol. That smile creeps me out a bit, not sure if that's the feeling your going for but sorry if you find this rude, I don't mean to be. Overall it look good!

Definitely 1000% what I was going for.

Seriously though, it's supposed to be a creepy smile, so I'm glad for that. I was worried it would look a little goofy. Now, the hat? Did not expect that. I kind of based her hat-design on tree frogs for aesthetic reasons, but I might look at the more bar-eyed species for a more instantly recognizable interpretation.

Oh that picture just made my day! Again I'm sorry, it was just the first thing that came to mind. Well I can't really think of a way for the frog thing, sorry! Can't wait to see more artwork, I swear everyone here is become more and more an inspiration for me.

@Lincoln: Good work with the shipgirls. Could use cleaner lines and greater detail on their battle gear though.

@janyhero: Fantastic coloring job on the Parsee and the Yukari. Your technique is great and I love the amount of detail.

As for me, I'm drawing scenes with water.

These look fantastic! I can't really explain to well what I like but just the outlines look smooth and crisp and really bring out Ryujo well. When I see Search for tomorrow it reminds me of old level designs from megaman zero. Freaking good job!

Dig the painterly look of the background, but it clashes somewhat with the outlined,  cell shaded Ryuujou. Figure is stiff. Skirt can be blown further back to show her forward motion.

While I wait to get into a new free tutoring program, I've been drawing batches of mannequins using photo refs mostly for fun. I just finished one, with the mannequins in somewhat thick bodies. Here it is (warning: oppai):
[nsfw]http://puu.sh/dADBO/78ceea5a52.jpg[/nsfw]

My mistakes (as far as I can see them, anyway) are:

- That the bodies are somewhat inconsistent to each other; I was trying to make the figures the same but in different poses, yet didn't quite get that down.
- I forgot to draw ears on some of them.
- I also forgot how the armpits align with the torsos when an arm or two is raised.
- Though I went for a mildly-thick look (thinner side of the BBW spectrum), I might have not made the heads and torso area round enough to better get that across.
- The back on the middle-left one looks really off. Maybe its because the photo model's hair was too in the way for me to see how the head, neck, torso, and right arm connect...
- Speaking of inconsistencies, I also noticed quite a few inconsistencies in the photo refs I used, such as the shape of the torso, width of the torso, and the V-ish folds in the crotch area. Must be my still-very-flawed visual perception that led to much of the inconsistency.
- I might have drawn the fat folds and bumps wrong, and missed some spots where they should have been.
- Also the collarbones. Looking at refs again, I see that they should have been less pronounced.
- The butt on the middle-left one should have been thicker, and by extension also been shaped like it was resting on a surface rather than if the figure was standing up.
- Some of the hand palms are shaped wrong in relation to foreshortening, and the fingers with their lengths and joints.

I was told by a friend that the figures looked too segmented, especially the three on the bottom, but I don't see how that is. If anyone could clarify that for me, I'd appreciate it; might help with my perception when I do more of these.

Also the MTG one has a nice concept, but i think your usual lines dont do the nature-ish part justice...

By 'segmented' your friend might mean that the figures seem too clearly divided into parts. As in like, head stacked on top of shoulders/breasts stacked on top of waist area stacked on top of hips/legs. The fat lines and huge breasts might be adding to that effect. Just a few comments, but I don't think that fatty necessarily means huge breasts, just potentially saggy. It may also be hiding parts that you may find hard to draw later. Don't seem to be too affected by gravity either. Head/neck area seems quite devoid of fat despite the rest of the body too. I'm not entirely sure what that line between the buttocks on the middle left is supposed to be.
If you're practicing to get down shapes from references photos, I guess fatty bodies would be good because of all the lumps and curves, but I'd imagine working inside-out would be easier without references in the future since fat clumps in certain places.
For an interesting challenge I just thought of, how about drawing different skeletal poses from reference? If you can acquire some, it may prove amusing and useful.

Quite liking the cat eyes. You have a strange fascination for the fifteenth. Definitely get the last bit sorted out at the end. If you want to continue playing the music, you can simply leave the finished piece onscreen until it ends, or just darken the screen. I'm assuming you're using WMM or something. Should show the finished piece for a bit longer too. Otherwise, not much to say other than that you seem to have an interesting semi-line, semi-painting sort of process going on there.

We recently acquired a coder or two, we already have storywriters... I was the only missing component since we all do stuffs free of charge so it's kinda hard to find an artist like that in our touhou community
We have yet to establish a circle though, nor do we have the intention to
