I find her right shoulder particularly dissettling. It appears as if it's a detachable Lego arm, and feels separate from the rest of the body.

There are other things to mention, but this is not a formal critique session and I think it's best to work on one area at a time.

I guess he doesn't walk to AAA, though. Probably we need to make him aware of your Aya through the Cafe or PM.

Now, when you went to anatomy, her tits seem to be too low, especially for a schoolgirl, since they usually have younger and tighter boobs, though we may also consider Sanae to be a smoker worse than Mokou.
:flowerpower:
On DFC, female nipples occupy nearly the same position as male ones. As letters go further to Z, volume under them increases, but the general attachment points remain on the same ribs. So, Sanae's tits here appear to be hanging a long way from its attachment position down almost to her belly.
*have never seen female boobs IRL (. .)\ may be horribly wrong*

Her eyes are too low, and her mouth too high. It gives her a derpy look.  Also, don't leave out the nose.
Her head should either be narrower or taller, and her neck is too long.
Her boobs are ginormous and saggy. Given how much of them is visible beneath her top, her nipples ought to be visible.
Her torso is slightly too short, and the shading on her stomach makes her look ripped. (I'm assuming you weren't going for the ripped look :V)
Her arms are a bit too long, her hands shouldn't be able to reach her knees.
Her right leg should be a bit longer, and her left foot should be foreshortened.
That's an extremely awkward way to hold a gohei. :V

Duly noted all the advice! I'll be asking a few questions, for clarity, if that's all right. Also, the exaggerated cute face was unintentional lol

@delfigamer:

By "younger and tighter", did you just mean less saggy? And by them being "too low", you mean that from the top they start too low on the torso?

As for the nipples, I just won't ever bother drawing them; just a personal choice :P

@Ballmer: It's the armpit muscle that it's missing right? Because thats the feeling I'm getting right after you mentioned the odd arm.

@Desu_Cake:

I think I get exactly what you meant about the sag, since even considering the physics making breasts sag more after going past a certain size I miscalculated and overdid it despite that. o_o Er, was that right?

As for the areas to work at a time, I'd like to work on the removing the lego-ness of the arm. Any advice regarding that, or should I just keep studying at posemaniacs?

Of course everyone has. If you haven't, shame on you people! Go watch it right now!

And all Touhou characters are pretty short I think (the ones that look like they are in their teens), except the older looking characters of course.~ :V
Anyways, I love the way you draw Hatateru.~ So crisp and clean~

Height difference is meant to play out the contrasts. Huge difference between a laid back, carefree binbou miko and a hardened badass :V

There's a way to the clean lines really, you just have to reline a perfected sketch, it's a little tedious but then again it's only tracing. A little effort goes a looooong way~

Hatateru: Awesomely clean! Your lines are a thing to aspire to.

I'd say that since all of it looks so wonderfully perspective-d -- it's very 3d even for purely line art -- the yin-yang orbs actually look a little flat by comparison. And this is my personal preference, but I have to go ahead and say it: people almost never stand with their feet turned in like that. I know anime does it all the time, and it looks cute, but it has always been a thing that knocks me out of the "immersion" of looking at a nice art piece, so to speak.

People post when they want to I guess, and then in my case there are hardly any times where I finish drawing something (or have something worthwhile) to post.
Like for example; http://imgur.com/TLhzRat
Started on this a couple of months back and finished it a week or two ago. Then due to a combination of having lost interest and realising I couldn't really bring the picture justice if I coloured it, I just left it in a psuedoshaded state like that. I think I'll just stick to simpler designs which I can be sure of colouring to my tastes.

Also first actual draw post.

Well the thing is, most people who art frequently have their own art threads - we're kind of the anomalies in this sense :U

Something else I did.

Self-feedback below. Feel free to add to, debunk, or reaffirm any of it.

Spoiler:
The Fire Emblem design on the rug nearest Linde's feet looks off; the angle lines that make up the sides of it aren't well-aligned with the sides of the rug, unlike as it is on the other one.

(continued) Before you're sure you got the base linearts all done, take a break from the pic for a few days and then come back to it; that way, you can fix stuff like that before it gets too late.

The hair looks off; I know your thought process meant that the hair had to look like it was in the original concept art, but keep in mind that her hair is just a huge ponytail held up by a candy cane.

(continued) Those fancy strand-lines come after you finish the hair's outer shape, nor do you need to worry about just how much of the sides of the head the hair covers; it's not like all artists draw heads the same.

(continued) Just draw the hair like you normally would, and it'll look better than the mess you just made.

The back couch-cushion doesn't really look cushion-y; practice shading such cushions, and notice how it works so the next ver can have nicer-looking cushions. Get a bunch of cushion ref pics, since apparently that one sofa pic is too small for you to get much from it.

Boobs and armpits are placed too low.

Regardless, I'm rather proud of this one!

pixiv link down below would be great to give some stars
http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=39556605

Something else I did.
It look rather good
I suggest try not to focus on the detail so much
tho it's good that u realize the flaw u got
if u take a step back and look at the realtionship of the character and the background
she look a bit small for a coach (or the otherway around)
if it's mean to be like that then its k
but having the correct relationship between the thing u draw can rly give a better sense of depth
u can try to make a little tiny icon sketch on the other people to figure out the composition and proportion
then when u are done stuff it in to the actual surface and work on the detail
hope that helps
PS: nice drawing btw |OwO>

An artstyle that was completely versatile and detail oriented, one that portrays heavy amounts of detail even in monochrome, something like the artworks in Symposium of Post Mysticism. I've been at it for five years, and unknowingly it evolved into something else completely :I
