Furst may be the worst "antagonist" this series has ever seen <_<

Every time he and Von Jure show up there's this endless parade of idiocy that really does nothing to help anyone.  It just feels like needless padding.

Furst isn't what I'd call an antagonist right now >_> It's clearly Von Jure that Edgey has to fight.
I like him though! He and Gumshoe should start a club.

You mean he and GIANT DETECTIVE. Gets nicknames all the time but this one I find particularly amusing.

Man, I just noticed this, but Von Karma wears earrings.  WTF?  I could have sworn he didn't have those in the first game. <_<

This is so... stupid.

I'll be hoping that

I didn't think it was stupid, I thought her motive was obvious actually (I haven't watched past 8.2 yet)
Spoiler:
She set a trap for the 'real murderer' who would come looking for the body where it was hidden. Why else would Takovski try to steal the Gemini statue?

Edit: Speaking of Von Jure, am I the only one annoyed by how Edgeworth is never allowed to act as a real prosecutor in his investigation games? AAI1 had the same thing, he always has to sneak in as an assistant, the exception being the tutorial. Would it really be so hard for him to be in charge?

Oh, I don't think the

was stupid. It's mostly

the whole sculpture disappearance thing that seems like they were short on ideas for catalysts. Body transportation and all that turned out to be an unrealistic mess, too.

Unrelated,

I expected the convenient math ever since they gave us the book as evidence. Judge von Jure confirmed for von Karma 2.0

Well, that answers that.

Finally, this ridiculous case is over.

It was a fun case, just... I can't think of another word for it besides "ridiculous".

I've never been a fan of the Maya Fey archetype so no complaints here. Fresh and interesting, hope it doesn't resolve itself too fast.

Lurker finally caught up with 93 parts.  I wanted to say thanks for posting this.  Although it seems that this game does a bit more hand-holding than others?  Or is it just because I don't have the game physically in front of me?  Most of the player-driven choices (i.e. the gameplay) seem... easy in this game, and Edgeworth explains the hard stuff in seven minutes of narrative.  There's no faulting the insane, twisty cases, though.

I'm uncomfortable with this Edgeworth character development (
Spoiler:
Prosecutor vs. Attorney
).  But I'm sure it will end in a satisfying way.

Although it seems that this game does a bit more hand-holding than others?

To be fair, we are experiencing the game through the eyes of someone who progresses through the game at their own pace, answering all of the "questions" and such correctly the first time with minimal repetition of dialogue or what-have-you.  That said, I agree that the game seems easier overall with one exception - logic chess.  There are certainly fewer logic events, but I suspect logic chess is much more of a hassle when you're playing it blind.

Edgeworth is the head prosecutor 7 years from now, so there's that.

I agree about the logic chess.  The game tells you what to look for, and yet the number of "I'm not sure what to do here" moments are still pretty high for me.

Also, I suspect that part of the difficulty debuff stems from how easy it could be for a casual player to walk in and realize they have no idea what's going on.  If you're picking the game up for the first time in a couple of months, you're -probably- not going to remember the first half of Case 3 in any coherent way.
