Your Current Touhou Goals Thread

So, there's a thread for what we've already accomplished, so I thought why not have a thread for our current goals in the Touhou games? What are you currently attempting to achieve or plan to attempt next? Some of us already have our current goals in our sigs, but I figured this thread could be a chance to go into a little bit more detail. How much are you struggling with your current goals? What is the closest you've come to achieving them? How long have you been attempting your current goals for? Just some examples of what could be discussed here. If there is already a thread for this or some other factor that makes this thread pointless then I don't mind if this thread gets locked. Otherwise, I hope this experimental thread works out.

Since my goals are in my sig, here's a bit more detail on some of them:

Because Sakuya is so overpowered in PCB, I'm gonna do a normal 1cc with a different character at some point. Since I've 1cced IN on hard, PCB will probably also be the second or third Touhou game I attempt to 1cc hard on. PCB Extra no deaths I could probably do. I just need to be in the right mindset so I'm not getting so nervous near the end. All done. And since then, I've gotten a PCB Lunatic 1cc, and a PCB Extra NMNBNBB!

Why I want to capture QED: Before my first EoSD Extra clear, I had to face QED with no lives or bombs left, and ended up dying when I was literally half a second away from capturing the damn card. Ever since I heard about how notorious QED is for its difficulty, I have made it my goal to capture it at some point in my Touhou career. Don't care too much about that anymore. Maybe if I feel like playing EoSD Extra again I'll go for it, but it's low priority compared to my other goals.

As for right now, I'm just about to work on unlocking Imperishable Shooting, for the Last Word that requires it to be seen once. I've beaten Mokou once before, and I can cap a few of her cards pretty easily, so hopefully I won't find this too difficult. All Last Words and Imperishable Shooting captured.

About how well I do them..

EoSD - I can usually perfect the first three stages (with some luck on Icicle Fall) and depending on who I play as, I can either lose only one or two lives to Patchouli, or get utterly creamed. And if I get past her usually Sakuya killed me anyway.
PCB - I can quite reliably perfect the first three stages and I can handle the Prismrivers quite well. Then Youmu sweeped the floor with me. I haaaate her nonspells 
IN - Yesterday I tried playing using Border Team and surprisingly I was very close to 1cc it, dying to Apollo 13. Then I tried using Scarlet Team and got CAVED by normal Keine, lost all lives to Reimu, and killed by random mook on stage 5  :wat:
MoF - Stage 4 still proves to be a brickwall for me (MOMIJIIIIIII), although I'm getting better at handling Aya's attacks.
SA - Got killed by Parsee countless times, and if I do get past her I'll get killed by random stage 3 mooks  :V

Also to clear PoFV extra mode. This is really luck based...on some run I can get to Reimu, and only very few runs I can get to Shikieiki. And for most of the runs I derped and got killed at Stage 2

Hey, no need to cry. All the Insane-level Touhou pros had to start somewhere, right?

Then again, maybe that would be a bit more comforting from an actually experienced player and not someone who's also trying to 1cc Normal Mode.

For my part, I've yet to 1cc a game on normal (I haven't been at this very long >_<).

UFO lunatic 1cc: I know I can do it, it's just a matter of deciding to put a few hours into it. at this point.
MoF LNB: ...idk, might try this every once in a while but I really would need a fluke run.  Feels weird removing something from the short-term goals list.
Longer term-perfect every extra stage (except GFW, maybe) and every lunatic boss (Windows)
Short term on that goal include Patchy, Prismrivers, Youmu, IN Reimu/Marisa, Kanako, Satori, Utsuho, Kogasa, maybe Ichirin, Flan/Yukari/Mokou/Koishi/Nue

and most importantly, to just generally PLAY more.  Last night helped because I had a blast doing no focus PCB ultra lunatic  :3

Capturing any survival spellcard (other than Youkai Polygraph), just to see how it feels.
Learning how to micrododge, or buying a better keyboard.
Maybe unlocking Hatate in DS too...just 2 more scenes to unlock Spoiler level.

...Ok, so I gave myself maximum possible lives on EoSD, PCB, and IN, but I was a noob when I 1cced those, and afterwards, I wanted consistency...

Long-term stuff: Beat an Extra Stage, complete StB and DS, and to actually play PC-98 games.

Beat Koishi with Reimu B (I finally beat it with Reimu A, but B is the one I like.. A just has more power <.<)
1cc normal mode with Marisa B then proceed to beat Koishi again.

UFO

1cc  normal mode and then beat Nue with Marisa B (as terrible as that shot type is, I LOVE it personally.)

Ten Desires

Beat Mamizou for the first time with Reimu. (she's the only one unlocked atm since I can't beat normal 1cc with anyone but her.)
1cc normal mode with Marisa/Youmu/Sanae


That's really about it right now.

UFO hard will be my bane there because I haven't even reached stage 5 yet (best run ended on dipper creeping close), and with the trouble Kogasa and Ichirin give me, I'm downright scared of Shou and Byakuren. I refuse to touch lunatic before I 1cc it (and EoSD), though.

semi long term:
- unlock and beat the remaining last words (Marisa, Youmu, Yuyuko, Yukari)
- unlock StB extra (51/66 scenes so far)

super long term:
- 1cc all lunatics, then proceed to do it with all shottypes (except IN solos) and/or without bombs

Normal 1cc's Remaining: Great Fairy Wars, Double Dealing Character demo, Phantasmagoria of Flower View (once I get it working...)

Games to acquire and then play: Hopeless Masquerade, Double Dealing Character demo, PC-98 games (?)

EX Stages to conquer: IN (too lazy to do it earlier)
   MoF (exploding frog bullets. Just no, Suwako. No.)
   SA (That stage is killer...Koishi isn't very easy to get to.)
   UFO (Not as bad to get through as SA from what I've experienced so far, but still a pain.)
   TD (should be pretty easy...got to Mamizou's sixth card on my first try on the same day I unlocked it)
   PCB (Phantasm, technically. I beat Ran a lot faster than Flandre, but I didn't feel like putting up with Yukari.)

Start breaking my brain by trying Hard on each game (in order, of course)

And lastly...finally stop being lazy and start trying danmakufu. I've been procrastinating on that since Christmas :V

And screw all of you with your big lunatic ambitions. Y'all is crazy. I mean that in an endearing way because I'm jealous of you for being good enough to do them on lunatic...

though I don't have much time now days, my current goals are as follow:

No-death no-bomb EoSD extra
No-bomb border abusing PCB lunatic 1cc
1cc other routes in GFW lunatic

After that I'll either go do perfect extras and no-bomb runs in other games, or I'll put some time into finally getting a Ketsui 1-ALL.

Oh yeah, I still need to perfect some stages and bosses (Youmu, Murasa, maybe others)

Oh I quite like this idea. Gotta wonder if this thread will stick around after everyone's posted their stuff though.

Right now:

TD No Bomb Lunatic 1cc - I basically just started this. Less than an hour devoted to this one. According to stage practice, I'll need around 8 lives to do this one comfortably, but I'm sure that I can bring that number down once I actually practice a bit more and remember how to do several patterns.
UFO No Bomb Lunatic 1cc - This one is a bit longer term, but it's coming along. Currently working on stages 5 and 6 because I need to spend a lot of time getting good enough at Shou and Byakuren to pull this off. I currently need like 12 lives after stage 4 to do this one comfortably, so uh... Yeah. Still better than before though since I couldn't even clear either stage reliably on stage practice.
