In the Touhou Popularity Contests, the male-to-female ratio has been aroung 9:1. Of course their representativeness is debatable.
The 3rd NicoNico Super Conference starts the day after tomorrow. You know ZUN will be selling his own craft beer made by Baird Brewery, but have you found out about what is this year's ZUN Beer?
ZUN: Time for a proper announcement. At April 26, 27's NicoNico Super Conference 3, you'll be able to drink my exclusive beer again. The beer this time is "Super Indie Game Ale w". As you can guess, it is an Indian Pale Ale. I want to make you feel my indie soul through the beer. Link
ZUN: By the way, the "w" is for "world". It seems hops from around the world have been put into it.
Either a single "w" or multiple "w"s are Japanese internet slang for laughter (
warau), and ZUN isn't above using "w" on twitter for mockery, which I've always translated as "lol". No matter what he says, it seems he's too shy to admit he's attracted to this indie thing, so he has to put in an "lol" to show he's not too serious about it.

This time, the NicoNico site has an introduction to this beer:
ZUN's comment:
This is named after a beer style, "Indian Pale Ale". I gave it this name out of mutual feelings with the recent indie game movement, and my wish for it to prosper. Baird Beer is a brewery that keeps on refining its indie taste rather than going with the crowd. This is a feeling me as a doujin game creator can relate to.
Bryan Baird, Owner of Baird Brewery:
This beer contains 5 to 6.5% alcohol. It feels super hoppy.
Between my life and my utter incompetence, I've been unable to deliver timely updates on the BitSummit talk and what ZUN has been saying since then, which means you may not have the full context to appreciate this update. Some catching up might be in order...
Also at the event is another
Reitaisai Super Condensed. Notable features this year includes a DDC Score Attack Tournament to win a ZUN-signed DDC disc, and the launch of a promotion campaign for Touhou music in Taiko Drum Master.
