The Emperor's New Groove, Touhou Tuesdays start 2/28

Overcoat and TrueStar, two of our relatively new members, are DJs on http://areciboradio.com/, and has somehow managed to con them into letting them run a Touhou-themed radio show on Tuesday evenings!  Here are a few words from our outerwear overlord.

Hi there Maidens! I'm a relative newcomer on these boards. As you may or may not know, I run a show on http://areciboradio.com/ called "Radio OverCoat" every Wednesday, and every Thursday, TrueStar runs a chiptune radio show called Noise Channel. Well, my playlists have gotten so full of Touhou arrangements I've decided to take them all and put them into one 2-hour show, called of course, "Touhou Tuesday," that I will be hosting with TrueStar! I have a more detailed post up here on KNGI, a network of videogame music podcasts that I belong to. It'll debut next Tuesday Feb 28, at 5 to 7 PM Eastern Pacific US time, and it'll be at that time every week. The Arecibo site has a chatroom as well, so you can talk to us DJs while we do the show! If you can't make it, don't worry, they'll be archived You can follow me on Twitter for more accurate news updates @RadioOverCoat, and TrueStar's radio twitter is @NoiseChanRadio. Some great tracks played! The chat was pretty full, a good time was had, and even when it ended, no one stopped smiling. You had to end on Hinnacle, didn't you!? XD

This first show was quite pleasant! I'll have to listen to more than a few of those songs again later, and though I'm not a fan of IOSYS in general, Miracle Hinacle was a good way to end the show, I think.

Looking forward to next week's set, and will also try to tune in on Thursday for the Noise Channel too.

To everyone who made it out to the pilot show, THANK YOU!  The response was so positive that OverCoat and I actually got a little nervous.   I'm pretty sure this was one of the most successful pilot shows on Arecibo in terms of listener count.

We got some nice requests during and after the show and Reddyne's email was amazing.  Thank you!

I know that you can probably just listen to this music on your own, but we hope that we made it a bit more fun for everyone as a live radio show as well as having others to talk with while listening to some music.  Hope to see you next week!   We started up a Twitter account for the show at @touhoutuesday as well.

also yay archives. I will probably miss the live shows so it's great to know I won't have to miss out o/ nice choice of songs too. I would recommend stuff if I knew what genres you'd be playing ie is anything welcome.
