I noticed that the first spellcard of Marine Benefit's extra midboss gets harder as it goes on. So I did the only logical thing that can be done with this information: time out the card.

1cced TD Lunatic. 10.2% slowdown rate because even on 16-bit mode this PC can't handle glowy final boss bullets I guess. When I finally get around to fixing my laptop I'll probably redo this just to get rid of that, but I spent pretty much all of the slowdown time bombing/trancing/pointblanking during periods when there were no bullets so I still think this is legit. When I was out of bombs and trance I just suicided.

So, a few months back, I broke the Hard barrier by beating Lotus Land Story, albeit with a touch more slowdown than I would've liked. Today? This morning, in fact?
Yuyuko Saigyouji falls!

I probably could've done a hell of a lot better, but clearing the game at 2/1, with only one border broken on Resurrection Butterfly, for my first Windows Hard clear, is... Well, to me, it's impressive.

Oh, we're doing this again? Well alright, I can give into hubris one last time - I've always wanted to see how this looks after all, and I can finally make what may be the final draft of my accomplishments list (until the next game):

Every official game lunatic 1cc
Every main series spell card captured on lunatic (discounting Fairy Wars)
All extra clear
All scenes captured in StB and DS
Every Windows stage cleared on lunatic/extra no deaths
Every boss perfected on lunatic/extra (as in, beaten no deaths, no bombs)

J-just what I have to show from four years of dedicated work. ;^^

EDIT: Oh, and ESPgaluda and Dodonpachi 1cc, for the people who keep insisting I play a Cave game.

Found an easy way to do resurrection butterfly 80%. I don't think it's anything new, but I never saw anyone posting a replay of this method.

I usually do that for Normal and Hard Mode, but I didn't think it would be that effective on lunatic

So I just captured ExKogasa's last spell and Nue's survival.
For the first time ever.
In the same run.
Which also happened to be my blind run of the extra stage on ultra mode.
So that's every pattern in the stage in some incarnation or another captured

Futo's was surprisingly fun.

"Iwafune Ascending to Heaven" is one of the most hard attacks in the game for me. I can surely capture it only on normal but on hard and lunatic i mostly bomb or trance it to hell. "Honour the Avoidance of Defiance" is also hard, but i timed it out on hard (with Reimu) and captured on lunatic. All in all - good job! May you share a replay or a video, cause i'd like to watch it

Futo's. The first few dodges were pretty random, especially the third or fourth, idr. :V

Miko's. I thought I was screwed when the lasers were really close in the last few seconds.

Futo's actually took me twice the amount of tries: 22. Miko's took 11 tries.

Just tried to time out "Iwafune Ascending to Heaven" lunatic with Marisa. After 87 tries i've succeeded!
This timeout includes some ridiculously lucky dodges and cheating Futo a little by luring her to the top, wich makes first 25 seconds a bit easier.

And man. I've got a feeling that to time this card out is somewhat easier than to capture, cause you can focus on dodging and dont need to chase the boat.

Nicely done, mate! Though at some places i was literally screaming "U R doin' it rong!" or "Y U NO TRANCE?!" You actually did it better than me on my first 1CC (loosing almost all lives to Miko OTZ) Learn how to use trance proper (not only for defence, but to gather life/bomb pieces at double rate) and do it again with Marisa.
As for extra, i've tried it exactly once, got to 6th or 7th Mamizou card on a first try and found it boring. Maybe sometime i'll bother to clear it but now i dont feel like want.

Of course. I've got it installed for EoSD and MoF

Meanwile: MoF normal no bombs 1CC with Reimu B. Perfected all till Sanae's Guest Stars, captured the rest and made a poor Kanako battle :V

Also i've got a wish to time out "Mountain of Faith" (VoWG normal), but dunno if it has timeout phase. Maybe i just shoot it till it enters final phase. And yeah, Kanako on normal must be perfected.

There is no timeout phase. At least not on Lunatic, so Normal shouldn't have one either.

EoSD is such a troll game. I mean really.

I started my daily Touhou session by trying ReimuA for the first time on EoSD Hard. How did it go?

Death to Rumia's last spell. This has never happened, with any shottypes.
Perfect Cirno. Yawn.
Death to Meiling's first spell, which is just "the hell" and I personally blame ReimuA's weak ass for this.

So far, bad run.

Two derpdeaths to Patchy, along with a few bombs. I mean, come on, I could have done MUCH better than that.

And then...

2B Sayuka. 'Kay.
Derp on Remilia's second non-spell. Blargh.
Third spell capture.
Scarlet Miester 1B, good performance after the first bomb.
Scarlet Gensokyo capture. Very nice capture in that.

And I 1cc with 3 lives and 0 bombs.

I didn't even feel like I played my best, and I still won super-convincingly.

I hate you, EoSD.

I've not mapped out effective trance routes for stages past stage two :3
Stage 4 is a little obvious though.

I'm a little okay with my Miko performance in that replay, though. IIRC 1D1B. And deathtrancing on Discernment Laser Blahblahblah caused me to fail the final as well because my god why can I not NOT shoot during trance

As for Mamizou, let's see what I've capped.

Nue's third, Mamizou's circle people, Mamizou's falling birds, and....
I don't remember anything else...
I died to Dogs Try To Eat You and Asshole Exploding Frogs, and due to low life system in TD I'm almost certain that was all the fight was...
