I voted for the SDM Fairy Maid yesterday. Sakuya is too cool to be moe, Wriggle is a boy so he doesn't count and Maribel doesn't really have much going for her unless you think stumbling into other worlds is clumsiness. The fairy maids are at least incompetent to the point that their presence really doesn't change a thing.

I don't really get why we put things like SDM Fairy Maid or incredible minor pop ups on the voting block.
Whats next the random Kappas in Wild and Horned? Heck I'm sure the fan characters will get more votes than the random canons.

The reason for the oddballs is to make the bracket square.
I can't have an odd number of results at any round.
It also simplifies the software if each match in a round has the same number of contestants.
3*32 = 96, and there are more than 96 canon touhou characters now.
4*32 = 128, and there are less than 128 canon touhou characters. So I had to find extras to square the bracket.

The bracket was posted for two weeks before the contest, and linked in three places. Nobody said a word.

Glad Mystia won. She's kinda cute in general, but after I first found Night Sparrow Love, I also found a flurry of fanart that supported the cute kid angle real well. Match 3 was a mess, while match 4 sorta proceeded as how I thought it would.

My thoughts exactly. I'll be voting for the characters who I think are the most moe, but I've already been in a discussion about the number of people who will vote for their favorite character or the most popular one in general instead of which one is the most moe. I know there's going to be a few who will stand a significant chance of getting very far in the brackets even if both their canon and fanon interpretations are far more geared toward making sure you wish you never met them instead of endearing and cute characteristics. Case and point, as much as I love characters like Byakuren, I can't consider her as moe as the twin-braided cat girl with an idiosyncratic speech pattern.

That's actually a pretty tough match today. Voting for Kyouko despite my impression that she doesn't stand much of a chance.

Even though Patchouli is my favorite character, I think I will still vote for Kyouko because she's just MORE moe, IMO.
Nazrin is not so moe alone, but together with Shou... :3
