Humble Indie Bundle - The Humble Voxatron Debut
« on: November 01, 2011, 03:39:49 AM »
It's back: http://www.humblebundle.com/

Just looks like one game this time, but this will probably follow the pattern set by past bundles of adding another game halfway through the event.

In a fit of procrastination, I picked this up earlier today. It's actually pretty neat-- I'm interested in where they're going to go with it later in development. :3

It looks like 3D Dot Game Heroes married The Binding of Issac and hey had a baby together...AND IT CAN JUMP! =D

I'll see if someone can gift me this. If not, I can just get it myself.

And suddenly I'm a lot more interested. Going with minimum price this time though, can't afford to be as generous as I was with the last bundle this time  :ohdear:

Don't need because you already have them?

On a related note, I like the Issac update, but the final boss is bugged, among other things. Edmund says he and his team are working on fixing said bugs. Also, Eve looks cute. ^_^

At the time it was just the one game.

Either way I ended up scoring a friend of mine Binding of Isaac for free which is awesome.  Also this Blocks That Matter game actually looks kind of awesome.

The frequency of these bundles is kind of taking away their luster for me. Oh well; the money goes to charity.

At first I wasn't planning on buying this bundle, but then they added The Binding of Isaac. I love twisted organic design (Giger, R-Type, Artesneit, etc), so I couldn't pass this up. Fun game, but the controls are kind of poor.

I really, really want to see Aquaria be added to another bundle one of these days. I missed it the first time around.

Well, ass :|

Gotta wait at least 3 days to see if I can pick this up.
Can't afford to pay much for it either, but also can't be a jerk and pay unfair.

I personally like the WASD/Arrow contols, since you can only fire in four directions unassisted anyways. Good luck trying to get to the last boss, though! ;P

As for Voxatron itself, how is it? Has anyone played it yet?

It's not that bad?  It's a simple, kinda fun little arcade shooter with visuals that resemble 3D Dot Game Heroes if you've played that.  It's very much "3D of 2D Sprites" in a sense and honestly it works pretty well.  I don't think there's a huge amount to it but that might just be me; either way... yeah.

My friend bought a few of these for a dollar when it was released.
The binding of isaac made it so much better.

It appears that Edmund McMillen's Gish, an updated version of Voxatron, and three Lexaloffle minigames have now been added to the bundle. =O

Hey, I got Gish with HIB2 when HIB1 was added to it.

Hated it!

I tried Gish for a while, but I usually don't like physics-based gameplay. Gish was cooler in Super Meat Boy, you could use him to stick to walls and ceilings. =3

Oh Gish. Yeah I got it on a bundle with Recettear ages ago, wasn't great. A cute concept, though

Also hey, I bought it yesterday and only realized afterwards that the games are Steam-redeemable this time :derp:

It wasn't an indie bundle, but a Steam sale from November of last year: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=414084

EDIT: Discussion of bundles and whatnot are now located in the general sales/bundle thread.
