The Hot Springs wouldn't exist in Hisoutensoku (and other works) and this would cause a power overload in the nuclear reactor unless they thought of another way to use the power.  And we can't just shut off the nuclear reactor because that would like Utsuho with an existential crisis and she might try to burn things again.

What if instead of for danmaku, Touhou characters used their spell cards to play a card game?

Touhou would become a new franchise of games.  I find card games a bit on the boring side, so it'd be a turn for the worse.  It also probably wouldn't be the massively popular series that it is today, because it'll go from "cute lolis trying to kill you with thousands of bullets arranged in a beautiful pattern" to "cute lolis playing cards with you."  Ho hum... :wat:

What if ZUN was the Phantasm boss of the next Touhou game?
