So I decided to make a thread here because I like drawing and stuff, and have been doing more Touhou-related things recently. The pictures will be linked to because otherwise they'll take up too much space.

^ Utsuho. My most recent one, done yesterday night. Also my favourite of the three.

I have some in my sketchbook which I'll scan later and may put up on here. To those curious, I use Sai although my free trial has run out so I can't save anything, which sucks. I may be getting the full version soon. When this happens I'm probably going to start a Seven Deadly Sins project, matching each of them to a Touhou character.

I just got over some artist's block that's been bugging me from over a month, so have a Nazrin.

It's been a while since I used Paint and I only just realised how much I love drawing with it.

Oh, it is. Threads in the Art Atelier, Rika and Nitori's, and Scarlet Library don't automatically close after two weeks like they do on the rest of the forums, so the artists can come back at any time and revive their old threads with content.

Love how you do your coloring.

When linking to pictures on DeviantArt, it's best to click on their names (in this case "Komachi Onozuka") so that if you accidentally hit the left or right button, you don't get taken to that picture in the artist's gallery in the middle of looking at this one. So instead of http://glimmeryleaf9.deviantart.com/#/d4jr75c you get http://glimmeryleaf9.deviantart.com/art/Komachi-Onozuka-275046384 (or even more alternately, the link you see scrolling down on the right side of the page, http://fav.me/d4jr75c).

I like it! I think you could darken the color of the water to give it more of a creepy vibe, too.

The blur effect makes it look dreamy near the outside, and more real going inside. I like it.

It's been a while, but thanks for the comments, everyone.

I would be drawing more but my tablet has done something strange. Whenever I draw in Sai, the line from every tool I use lags behind my cursor, making drawing harder than it needs to be. This happens in Sai only and I've tried restarting my computer. I don't think I did anything to my tablet - it just randomly started happening one day. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Hmm, I had a similar problem like that.

I use Photoshop to draw, and usually if I plug in my tablet with Photoshop open the paintbrush tool would lag a bit. Although the problem does go away if I close and reopen Photoshop. So uh, I guess I would try plugging in your tablet before opening up SAI. If doesn't fix it, then I dunno what else to try, sorry. :ohdear:

You can also try re downloading it I'm guessing? I don't have much experience with Sai since I mostly do traditional art, but I have had that problem once on photoshop before but it went away A few minutes after.

What is your stabilizer setting ? That may be the problem.
When the stabilizer is at S-7 it lags very much, but makes very nice, crisp lineart.
When it is at 0 it has no lag but the lineart isn't very nice.

That is genuinely pretty awesome! I didn't get the green hair at first, until I realized Blue+Yellow=Green.
