Players of the Game, in recent news, a political opponent for President has appeared across me.
While I can not say for certain that my views may be more in line with your own than his will. I do know one thing that I and you, the people, do agree on.

I support the Hydras. I support the people who are willing to sit back, and discuss rationally with their peers. I support the masses who choose to seek information before argument. I support any movement that will allow our Nation's brightest to more capably handle the crises our nation will no doubt need to overcome.

My opponent however has threatened to destroy those who would attempt to join together. Have we not joined together in order to discuss these important matters? A Nation divided is a Nation no more, and I will not have us become no more.

Support me in the race, and I will support all of you, as individuals.

As the neutral Arbitrator of RPG, I will oversee the applications of Zakeri and Dormio for Presidency. The discussion is now open to the Lords and Ladies present to give their shouts of Aye or Nay.

What's that?
Hydras are good?
We should sit down and talk?
What's next, we should all sit in a big circle and give each other flowers?
Kaleidoscopedia has no need for a president that will not TAKE ACTION!
Hear me, people.
Think deep for a moment, even if thinking goes against the Kaleidoscopian ways.
Do you honestly believe that such a coward should be given a position of power?
Do you people know what a coward does?
They lurk in the shadows.
They scheme behind people's backs.
They look out only for themselves.
They carry many hidden agendas of their own.
Who knows which one of you he'll stab first in order to achieve his own goals?

From me, you can expect nothing but the truth.
The honest, brutal truth.
If I want something, I will say that I want it.
None of that cowardly "let's hold hands and discuss but secretly I don't care about any of your opinions."
I will tell you, openly, right now: I do not care about your opinions.
What I care about is doing what is good for all of Kaleidoscopedia.
And if this involves the liberal application of nuclear weaponry, which I believe it does, then you know who you should vote for.

As with regards to the current presidential affair, I will, as of right now, stay neutral. I can, quite easily, place my faith in either candidate-as it stands, however, because of the new and previously unexplored nature of this game, I am unsure as to how applicable each candidate's skill-sets are. For this post, I will be examining their arguments.

While Ran-shama does provide a strong pitch, his pitch may in fact be detrimental to the game for a small number of reasons. Firstly, if there are no hydras then we cannot imagine things like Suwako with Kanako and Sanae's head, each saying "minemineminemineminemineminemineminemine".
Secondly, the absence of one part of the hydra is a -lot- less damaging to the game than the absence of a solo player. If the solo is lost, then 1/6th of the game grinds to a halt. However, if we only lose one head of the hydra, including or excluding the spokesperson, then in their absence it may be agreed upon that a second speaker could take their place, keeping the game going.
Understandably, concerns may be raised regarding the potential power that a hydra has. This, my fellow congressmen, is easily overcome. Charisma is not accumulative and, for as many ideas as the hydra may has, it requires at least one of them to find a way to express them. If that one player was a solo, I have no doubts he would be just as powerful.

Conversely, Zakeri is too accepting of the Hydras, too accepting to allow the power they undeniably hold to spread. What hope does a single lord or lady stand against an army 10 strong? Why would the secretary of defence so much as step outside his office when the third member of the secretary for flower donations could just as easily take his place? Why would anyone play if the walls stopping them are insurmountable?

I would like to present the lord and ladies with a third solution-moderated hydras.
Hydras can, if need be, act as a life support if one lord or lady is missing. Incidentally, they can break the game if they grow too strong, which is why I would like to suggest that we limit Hydras to no more than three people maximum-one person to act as the default spokesperson, one to act as a secondary spokesman, and a third to feel as if they were a part of something.
Through this approach of Hydra moderation, I wish to address the concerns of both sides, and find the most amiable solution which will keep the game running. I want to watch this game flourish at its maximum efficiency. I want to watch this game create forum-long bonds. I want to watch this game, and its participants, flourish.

Of course, I cannot simply speak. As my honored colleague said, we must take action.

And so I shall.

Momijibot, representing hydra moderation, is standing for presidency.

I speak from the perpective of a man whose cancerous mole on my right shoulder is slowly turning into an intelligent, albeit slightly tipsy, talking head.  I come from this life-altering experience to attest my faith in my hydra partner.  Not only has she miracalously cured my cancer, but now I have someone to talk to at night, when I'm all alone.  Therefore I'm looking for a Hydra friendly president.  This leaves Dormio out of the question, as nuking Hydras would also nuke their host, and I would die.  Between Momijibot and Zakeri, I find Momijibot to be actively overstretching Zakeri's modest and contructive vision.  Thus I would elect the more timid Zakeri to office, as he might be willing to listen more to our pleas.

Now, allow me to address you people of Kaleidescopedia once more.
Some of my opponents may call me an extremist.
But I must ask, is it being extreme to love one's country?
Is it extreme to want to fix the country's problems?
Is it extreme to want to defend yourself in case problems arise?
If you answered yes to any of the above, you are either a hippie or a communist, and you can get out of my country.
Ask yourselves.
If a rabid dog is attacking your family, who can you rely on?
Zakeri? Pffffffft. Good luck trying to get that hippie to do anything to that dog.
Momijibot? Fat chance. He's as much of a coward as Zakeri.
Myself? I will launch a tactical nuclear strike against the dog.
The dog's death will be quick and painless, it will be evaporated near instantly.
You may be horribly disfigured and/or killed by the process, but you can rest easy in knowing that the rabid dog will never threaten yourself or anyone else again.
Have you been stung by a bee?
Simple. Nuke the hive.
Are you finding that it takes too much effort to go to work?
Nuke the workplace.
Sun too bright?
Nuke the sun.
No problem cannot be solved with a sufficiently large explosion.
Now, my opponents will likely argue that I am going too far in my efforts to solve every problem with nukes.
But is it really possible to go too far in simply loving one's country?

You... you guys do realize I only joined because nobody else wanted to be president? :ohdear:
Well, shit. I don't want to be the sort of person who threatens to quit because he didn't get what he wanted, but what do I do when the only reason I'm in the game was because nobody else wanted it? This is a pain.

##Vote: Zakeri since that seems to be allowed.

Also, Dormio, Your argument is that because I encouraged people to think about their actions, that makes me weak and cowardly. Do you really think killing off all of humanity is for the best? Because that's what nukes do. They kill off humanity. Why are people voting for the person who's trying to kill everyone? Why are people putting this man in control of Kaleidospoedia's nukes when every post, he's threatened to kill someone? He has yet to even make promise to not shoot the sun, despite the issue being brought up before. If he did, then it would annihilate the entire solar system, including our nation.

Trust me when I say a path of war, a path Dormio is trying to cut out with fear, will only end in our own ruin.
Do not let fear rule you.
Vote Zakeri.
