From my quick read of the Chinese threads...
The details for the competition (part 2):
挑战东方红魔乡Stage3任意难度。道中No Shoot（中BOSS可以射击,道中其他地方射击录像作废），并撞指定的杂兵（可以用决死，但请注意Miss和Bomb后无敌状态撞的不算数）。要求通关。
请玩家选择一个难度挑战，如果挑战多个难度，则只有其中最高难度的积分有效哦。
指定杂兵：
所有毛玉列队的最后一只
前半段道中两列一对妖精的最后靠旁边的妖精。
Challenge EoSD Stage 3 any difficulty.
Stage portion no shoot (can shoot in mid-boss, replay disqualified if shoot in any other part of the stage portion).
[With the character, I assume] hit/slam onto [as many as possible] these specific wisps and fairies [shown in the picture].
(You can deathbomb, but stuff hit during bomb/death invincibility do not count)
Please choose a difficulty to challenge; if you try multiple difficulties, only the score on the highest difficulty counts.
The fairies / wisps to hit:
1. the last wisp of each line
2. the last fairy further to the side

How points are awarded:
Easy：通关获得1积分，撞上每2只指定的毛玉或妖精获得1积分。
Normal：通关获得1积分，撞上每2只指定的毛玉或妖精获得1积分，取得4SC获得1积分（包括道中的SC，以下同）
Hard：通关获得1积分，撞上每2只指定的毛玉获得1积分，每只指定的妖精1积分，取得5SC获得2积分。
Lunatic：通关获得2积分，撞上每2只指定的毛玉获得1.5积分（最后计算时去掉小数部分），每只指定的妖精2积分，取得3SC获得1积分，取得5SC获得3积分。
Easy - 1 point for: a) stage clear, b) hitting every 2 wisps or fairies.
Normal - 1 point for: a) stage clear, b) hitting every 2 wisp or fairy, c) capture 4 spells (midboss spell counts)
Hard - 1 point for: a) stage clear, b) hitting 2 wisp, c) hitting 1 fairy, 2 points for capturing 5 spells
Lunatic - 2 points for stage clear, 1.5 points for 2 wisps (round down), 2 points for every fairy, 1 point for 3 spell capture, 3 points for 5 spell captures.

Instructions on installing the patch
If your EoSD has Chinese patch, replace files with the ones in th06_cn.zip
Otherwise, use the programs in th06_replaypatch.zip to patch (one is for Japanese and one is for English, dunno which)
If non works, then your EoSD is not v1.02h, or that you patched it with something else.

These challenges are really creative :V Hmmm, maybe I'll try since it's EoSD, but I can't deathbomb very well...
