It's hard for me to really say, because I would want to keep Nue out of it given what it is. But given that Utsuho was only really useful as a way to keep Parsee happy for the unpleasant task ahead, and Nue would have no way of knowing if she could make a profit off it whatever Utsuho is doing, I'd be inclined to lean toward no.

Don't forget to stop by the bar to pick up the spellcards. Though, I think you were fixing on going there anyways...

Goals:
  • Tell Nazrin we have Parsee covering for her at the clinic until we get a proper replacement from topside, which we were on our way too.
  • Get our spellcards
  • Search our room for anything else we may need
  • Head topside, asking Kisume or Yamame about last night if we encounter them.

Okay, question. Koishi's closing of her third eye is supposed to have made her immune to mind-reading, right? And yet apparently Satori's telling the truth when she says she doesn't know of anyone she can't read. I understand that exact interpretations of the characters vary, so has anything happened in previous quests (I've only read Iku's and Utsuho's) that would explain this apparent inconsistency?

>You thank Satori again, and make your way out. Orin escorts you wordlessly, you can hear her put the bar into place as you step back outside.
>You take flight again, and head toward the pub district and your establishment. The place still seems to be in good working order, and still fairly empty. You also note that the place across the street has put up a sign saying that it is accepting precious stones and beads for drinks.

Satori rarely brings up Koishi in these quests unless asked directly.  Not sure of the reasoning, but that could be why she didn't mention it.  Considering Koishi never goes Underground in these quests I don't think Nue would have ever heard of her.  Also, you didn't read Maribel Quest?

>You head inside!
>The pub seems to have a good crowd, maybe half the seats are filled up. Not too shabby for the early part of the day. The oni seem amicable, but there's a definite tension you can feel in the air; you can hear it in the tones of conversations coming together and the way some of them are carrying themselves. While they're probably not going to break out into violence right now, you expect that just about any argument has a potential to break out into fighting. Still, they seem a lot better than the crowd in front of the Deva's home. Nazrin is running between the tables at the moment, but she glances over at you and says, "Hey, welcome back!"

No, I did not. And the confusion isn't from Satori saying she doesn't know of anyone whose mind she cannot read; it's from the fact that she seems to be telling the truth, but surely the question would've at least got her to think of Koishi, even if she didn't actually say anything about Koishi. So that's the inconsistency I'm seeing here.

I agree that it's an inconsistency, but I don't think it's something we can really investigate in character since I don't think Nue knows of Koishi.  If you want to go back and ask her more, I won't complain, I'd just rather we have some evidence/proof to take to her first.

I have no intention of asking in chaacter; you're right that Nue probably wouldm't know about the whole Koishi thing, and she probably wouldn't care right now if she did. I'm more wondering if Purvis made a mistake or what (although I guess I can just assume that Satori's a good enough liar to fool Nue).

I think Satori knows full well and is hiding it.  It wouldn't have been the first time Koishi's helped to ruin things for everyone, so I can imagine Satori hoping that she's not involved.

Purvis may forget to update our inventory on occasion, but I doubt he'd make a mistake in regards to the plot.

>You look around, trying to think of other places you could have put them. You can see a few places you might conceivably have put them, but you know that you didn't. The cards go in the box when you don't have them, so they don't get damaged from some silly accident.
>You don't really have much else in the way of danmaku aids. There is your trident, which leans against a wardrobe, but it's less a danmaku aid and more a violence aid. Or a fishing aid, if you're so inclined.
