>"Hmm... point. Here, let me give you a quick run-down, just to make sure you're in the ballpark, anyway."
>Give her a quick run-down on general price ranges, in broad enough terms that she's likely to remember it, without making an imposition out of precision.
>"And the stuff in the display cabinet behind the bar is special stuff, not for regular sale. If anyone asks, tell them to wait until I get back."
>"I wouldn't be asking this of you if I didn't think that having some place open that'll take payment from them wasn't doing at least a little bit to keep things calmer down here. Well, I hope. I certainly don't want to see this go further south than it already has; I'm sure you can imagine."

>Nazrin nods as you recite the general pricing. It's not perfect, but it's good enough she shouldn't shortchange you much in the long run.
>"Don't worry, I'll make sure you come out ahead," says Nazrin. "and not too ahead. And I'm getting a cut."

Yeah, so I'm thinking Satori, as long as we're still down here.

>Sort of. You know other ways that eventually lead to the main path, but they tend to be convoluted. You'd have to go home and check your maps to be sure.

A visit to Satori is fine, but we just agreed to find Nazrin coverage for the clinic, so the promise to a friend takes priority.

> Take flight and head toward Parsee's bridge.

EDIT: This is my proposed itinerary. Discuss as desired to make it something we can all agree on. I admit it skips over the market, because I'm not sure we actually need to be there, but I could certainly be talked into investigating it.

Parsee -> Clinic (to drop Parsee off) -> Pub (to finally pick up our stuff, as well as give confirmation to all the oni that Naz is in charge and to tell them to where we're off) -> Satori (assuming Parsee doesn't mind the extra few minutes spent at the clinic -> Topside (conversing with whichever of Yamame and Kisume we run into along the way)

We can make the run more efficient by going Satori first and Parsee last, but otherwise no complaints.

I worry that going to Satori first leaves the clinic unattended for a longer period of time than I (and possibly the Buddhists) would like. Otherwise yes, I'd fully back visiting Satori first.

EDIT: Though maybe Utsuho would be willing to watch the clinic if Parsee will be there too. Would make incentive for Parsee too.

>You head toward the bridge. It only takes a few moments to get there by air.
>The bridge seems about the same as ever, stretching over a wide river some distance below. It is in rather good condition, as the bridge princess maintains her domain obsessively. Almost but not quite underneath it, you can see a small house. Looking around, you don't see anyone here.

The donation box at the clinic had the same thing happen to it. I had Nazrin try to dowse for the cash, and there's some magic or something blocking her from finding it. Whoever did this is more than just some thief."

> "I got a tip from the street that whoever did this looked like a rabbit.  Did you see anyone at all come in last night?"

>"Yeah, actually!" says Parsee. "One of those Eientei sorts, I'm sure. She was only in the city for an hour at most! Didn't think much of it at the time, figured she was just getting something for the mad doctor up there. So she did it, huh? Shame for her those ears doubt as handles!"

> Do we know of anyone who would possess the magical ability to perform such a stunt? Besides Byakuren.

>You...aren't really sure. You know Byakuren is very powerful, but you don't know her capabilities very well. You suppose she might conceive of something like this as a lesson about greed, but honestly she's smart enough to see exactly why it's be a poor idea, probably. You suppose Yukari could be behind it, or maybe even the aforementioned mad doctor of Eientei, as Parsee termed her; though you know little about her aside from the fact she's powerful and skilled. Patchouli is certainly a possibility, you met her a couple years ago when autumn just wasn't going to quit. But you're not sure if she has the raw skills necessary. At the same time, you're aware that you're not fully informed on all of the surface peoples.
