Sanae Quest (Part 4)

> "Okay! Konngara, can you gather and measure all of the ingredients? Kogasa, start washing and chopping up the veggies, and I'll work on the fish."

> Konngara nods a bit hesitantly and goes to get the ingredients.  After a few minutes, she returns to the counter with some vegetables, and then makes another trip to get the fish.  Kogasa starts to wash and chop up the vegetables, while you get to work on gutting the fish.

> "Okay, can you get the rice ready, Konngara? Will you need help?"
> Get something to throw the guts in, we've learned from last time, ew. When we carved the fish up, start stuffing the fish with the veggies.

> "Yeah..."  Konngara heads to the pantry and starts dragging back a sack of rice.
> You quickly find a bucket to throw the fish guts in; you don't want them to sit around and rot, ew.  Once the fish has been carved up, you stuff it full of veggies.  It certainly looks better than when you first made it.

> Konngara nods again and heads back to one of the drawers to get a pot.  She doesn't struggle with this one for some reason, but then again, oni are pretty strong.  She lifts the pot above her head and sets it on the counter.

> You make haste to return to the shrine, and see Kogasa taking the apples off the heat.  Konngara is lurking nearby, staring intently.
> "Hi, looks like the applesauce is ready now."

> "Okay, now we just need to mash it." Find a fork, and look at Konngara.
> "Do you want the honors?"

> Looks like all that's left is to mash it.  You find a fork, and look over at Konngara.

> Give Konngara the fork, and let her mash and stir the applesauce. While she's doing that, check on the fish and rice.

> You give the rest of the food a bit more time, and turn back to watch Konngara go at the applesauce.  She can't even reach the stovetop, so Kogasa is holding her up as she mashes the applesauce.  She's being surprisingly neat about it.

> Go ahead and get plates to put the fish on, and take the rice off of the fire. Start portioning the food out.
> "Finished, yet?"

> You take the rice off the fire and get some plates for the fish.  As you start portioning the food out, you ask Konngara if she's finished yet.
> "...yeah."  Kogasa sets her down.

> "Good job!"
> Grab some bowls to pour the applesauce in, then start moving all of the food to the eating area.
> "Konngara, can you tell Kikuri that the food's ready?"

> "Heh..."
> You get some bowls for the applesauce, and then start moving the food to the main room.  Kogasa helps by getting some of the plates, so it doesn't take very long to set the table.
> You ask Konngara to go find Kikuri and tell her the food's ready, and she nods and runs out of the room.  You hear her moving around the shrine and calling out for Kikuri.  She returns with her a few seconds later.

> The food is done, so you all sit down and get ready to eat.  You watch to see how they all like it.  Kogasa really seems to like it; she barely pauses to breathe.  Kikuri is eating much more slowly.  She also eats a little bit from each part of the plate, rather than focusing just on the rice or fish or dessert.  Konngara stares down the fish for a few minutes before taking a single bite out of it.
