Greetings from the Ottoman Empire to the Old World!
We are excited to inform you that a New Order has taken control of the future of the Ottoman Empire. Under the reign of Sultan "Action" Dan, the empire expanded its borders considerably, but at the expense of the citizens living at home and in the surrounding areas. Human rights abuses under Dan's regime were, sadly, widespread. We have heard the concerns of the people and acted on their desire for freedom. Earlier today, forces led by the enigmatic colonel known only as "The Conqueror" stormed the Presidential Palace, decimating the palace guard and then hanging Sultan Dan on his own gallows in the middle of the town plaza.
Due to the questionable foreign policy of the Dan regime and the fact that the Sultan's forces burned all the files in the National Archive before revolutionary forces could get a hold of them, all relations with foreign states will be given a clean slate, although already standing treaties and non-aggression pacts will be observed if they are brought to notice.
Diplomatic missives will be sent shortly to all involved parties once the post-celebration riots have quieted down.
