/back also teleports you to the last place you were before you warped elsewhere. ie: you can be in a cave and /home to drop off supplies. Then /back to resume the hunt. Just don't get too crazy with using this... You might end up warping somewhere you didn't intend to.

In my opinion, those with Default status shouldn't be given access to /lwc protection.

Question time: Does anyone know the group hierarchy names in the server? From what I understand they are:
-Default
-Member
-MotK
-Moderator
-OP (or admin..)

For some reason I thought Member and MotK were the same, but they're not. Does anyone know the difference between Default and Member?

Default only occurs to all when in Nether or Sphere. (It's also Admin IIRC, when DDR connected to test permissions hierarchies)

explains why i /backed into some cave and got ninja'd by zombie when i got lava'd at the nightclub

It really did. :< On servers where I've been a moderator, every now and then, that was a fun way of banning people: finding sufficient evidence that they griefed, talking to them about it, them denying it for an extended period of time, then finally admitting to it after mentioning, "I'll revert your usergroup from Banned to Member if you just tell the truth," then the moment they admit to it, /kick [name] [reason: Griefing. :3]

About the "item spawning" thing, I think it's pretty much final. I've asked around a bit and the word from many people with solid coding experience have all confirmed what I've been thinking: it's not been possible to spawn items with any third party client/client wrapper/program since December 21st, 2010, thanks to SERVERSIDE inventories. Most likely, a moderator got careless with the chests they had stored some spawned items in, and its contents were removed by these players. Either that, or something with Permissions is misconfigured so that they have access to /i.

Builders seem to have /item since they can spawn whatever they please. And knowing how adrian is one of them in main world....

It's disabled outside main world :3
They are unable to spawn their items in their detention camp Sphere World.

You can just join in! The most you would end up doing outside the game would be getting a custom skin for your player.

Also, PM DDR with your MC name as well so he can (eventually) add you to the MotK group.

BTW, BSOD, the defailt spawn is covered in bedrock due to anti-griefer measures. A mod or admin will have to get you out of there and into the main world, and then find a bed to use as well as type /sethome in text chat once you find a nice place to settle.

Now, the only problem I'll have is managing lag. The game requires too much of my graphics card, that in order to prevent any lag, I have to turn off fancy and use fast instead, use Advanced OpenGL (idk why that reduces lag) and set draw distance to short. Otherwise, I get anywhere in the range of 5 to 50 frames; mostly staying near the low end unless I'm looking at a wall and not moving. I can't see the sky this way (or the sun). Though right now, I have draw distance on normal so I can at least see the time of day, even though the lag is quite dramatic. My graphics card sucks. ;_;

Try using Optimine + Optifog. It really boosted framerates on my laptop (which has a shitty Intel GPU) from 10-20 to about 30-50 on Fast and Short, with Advanced OpenGL on. Still get lag spikes during mob fights however.

As for "time of day" I recommend having a watch on you. I typically give one (plus the most basic of tools and armour) to newcomers.

As for that bedrock, well, it's a GIANT enclosure. The only way out's with WorldEdit or TP, and only mods and admins have the former.

sounds like me, if i go normal i get lag >< ... been smooth on short, but oh well i'm used to it...

Protip: carry a clock, since on short u cant read the sun... i can help u make one :3

And then you can start working on the other camp! Much larger, but not as many newcomers or residents.

EDIT: On the topic of reducng griefers, I suddenly had a pointless idea about putting them in a spawn that is reminiscent of the Black Mesa Hazard Course. :V
Or hell, let's make a hardcore replica of this and the Black Mesa lab (well the first part of it).

EDIT2: It's also odd that the mods are usually all on at the same time, and that there's 1 for each major continental US/non-NE Provinces Canada time zone.

i think so, because i remember when he joined, it was when i made the donation shrine at the V. and he got teleported over with no idea whats happening so he just started from there

Well, looks like Hakurei Shrine (or my sleepy interpretation of it) was a bigger success than expected! (It almost became Moriya and Cirno Shrines, but former has the long-ass basement to deal with and latter...just why?)

After connecting it by subway (another 800-block-long ride from the recently connected village, and probably similar from the central area), it's time for Moriya...except that the basement is Black Mesa. :getdown:

Agh, self-advertising ~ But AssistCraft is useful, I agree.

However I prefer the stock unmodded experience first, since that's what the developers intended you to get. It may not be the best graphical, gameplay-enhancing, or cool set, but it is the original intent, which lets you get a feel of how the game normally goes before employing mods to adjust said feel to your preferences.
