So, event came and went...did worse than I would've liked (stupid minecarts)! Plus levers weren't reset from testing, causing a bit of time wasted.

PX / Jquan was recording but due to the extra lag he came dead last.

Also, I believe theres some sort of server mod that allows the admins or moderators only to see who breaks what block, at what position. So say if a certain pixel art is at like -235 x -20 y 30 z or something like that, It would help a lot to anti-grief. Though I'd advise set it so that only admins see this.

Video (14:44) done! Now issue is, since the final product is 2.2GB (at 1920 x 1080, 60fps) it'll take a good deal of time (>3 hours according to YT's Java uploader) to upload. I'll send a link over once it's done.

Wow not only did i miss the event but this is the first ive heard of the griefing. You say you a mod eh? Well not to toot my own horn but i could do it. More serious: I'd also be willing to put myself for the mod position given how often I check the server (almost established myself as a regular player). Furthermore, most of my work here was put onto connection systems such as the overpasses, which plays more of a supportive utilitarian role for others as well rather than just monuments of self-glory. And as for mod powers, well, I don't see too much of a use for them other than to keep order (so don't expect me flying incessantly around, for one).

As for missing the event, it was a fun trickjumping race but, of course, was nothing compared to the TNT madness on Monday evening XD. PX should have a vid of the former soon, and my video of the latter is only 48% uploaded so far, with at least another 2 hours left.

EDIT: FINALLY uploaded, but it'll take some time to process. So no links for you all just yet....oh wait, it's done already, read on down.

You all wanted a world blown to bits, and we got that treatment as test subjects! Of course, the later griefers adding on to that didn't help the cause and killed it entirely.

Also I realized that YT seems to play my 60FPS vid at 30-35 FPS

I REALLY need to find a way to use frame blurring to simulate 60FPS once I get Final Cut Pro / Studio (now whether that be the new X version or the last version, I'm not sure).

I believe that the presence of a mod would help deter griefers from doing their thing. Prevention is the best medicine. It's better to make them not want to grief, rather than constantly fixing their little escapades. The threat of griefing will always be there. That being said, I would like to volunteer to become a moderator.

Let me explain to set myself apart from anyone who is wanting that position specifically for the power. I personally don't care about mod/admin powers. I just want to play the game. Ever since I joined, I've been a quite regular player. (mainly for the construction of the UFO) My plan was to play more of a supportive role in the server once the UFO was complete. Hell, I'm still thinking of making the UFO into a community resource center for anyone who's hard-up on certain items.

As supportive role, I had planned on helping people with their projects. Whether it be exploring a massive cave with Koishi and Mudkip and giving them 95% of the spoils, or helping Stuffman acquire glowstone since the Nether has been picked dry. (not completely my fault, btw) I am impressed by what has been created so far in the server, and I would like to see more of your creations.

Even if I wasn't "promoted", I'd still provide myself as an "assist" character. I guess you could say that I'd like the server to be more community-oriented. [/soapbox]

i've griefed quite a lot myself with friends, and we normally would act innocent the second a mod would come on. if a griefer griefs while a mod is on, they're just plain ballsy, or are well known on the server and decided to say 'fuck it.'

also about you wanting to become a mod, i dont understand. you dont want the powers, but you want the promotion in itself? that's kinda selfish dont you think? excuse me if i'm seeing this wrong, but what you are saying is that you want to act exactly the same as before, only this time you're a mod, therefore if you tell someone to stop they should stop. which, again, is exactly as before. i'm a tad bit confused about your application

Ah, let me clarify.
I'm not applying for the job specifically to obtain the powers. I'm not one to abuse things like that. Mod powers should only be used if necessary, or toward the betterment of the server as a whole.

No, I don't need mod powers to be in the "assist" role I'm about to delegate myself to. If it's selfish to offer to do more, then I apologize.

Edit: I forgot to mention. The UFO is finally complete. I'll post pictures later.

Yep. First it was the adventure world that no one used until the mass TNT incident (video), then the griefers in the main world.

I think DDR may update soon...but of course he'll keep a copy of 1.6.6 files handy in case this is another crippling update (looks at 1.6).

The way servercraft works, you CAN'T roll back Minecraft once updated. Therefore I'm waiting for the most important plugins to be updated. (Essentials, WorldEdit/Guard, sphere world, some other ones.)

I personally won't be updating until Industrial Craft and my Flying Mod both get updated.
