...me and my tendency to glance over trailers and teasers for being far too long....

I should be around to play by then, and I better hope my system doesn't go haywire (heavy stability issues in Windows, Mac needs re-install, and Linux Mint is ready but needs network drivers).

Goddamn, editing this made my Windows install crash a LOT.

...35 minutes of footage at 1920 x 1008 (will try to resample to 1080p~~, but I have see if it will be <2GB in accordance with YT~~) and 94.1GB of uncompressed AVI footage...no wonder why it had trouble!
(by comparison my Touhou GTA carmageddon clips were 960 x 600 and totalled to 26GB for about 1-1.5 hours of gameplay recorded)

Have 9 minutes of stuff already and that's just from the first 15 minutes of actual footage!

I'll definitely be speeding up and cutting bits of the aftermath. I don't want to split it into 2 parts - I'd rather maximize the 15 minutes.

To be honest, I don't really care for the sprite work in the sphere world. Sure it allows a larger canvas, but I'd prefer to see the other planets. It seems that the main world doesn't get the attention it used to...

Sadly, that is true. Most trips back there are for tools and resource gathering, really.

Seconding the anti-"blow main world up" thing too, given what happened recently.

Video has hit a small rut in that Windows Live Movie Maker (FCE user but Mac failed me recently) does not like having way too many uncompressed AVIs at once (some clips do not render, and if I get them to do so others fail). So I have to work with the clips a few times and then put them all together.

...hey, it's still better than LiveType's 100 text track + "every line set = new track" restrictions :V :V :colonveeplusalpha:

Depending on how things go I may be able to upload as soon as tonight, though likely not before the server event.

What. I have absolutely nothing to do with this. I lost all my TNT yesterday after blowing up the grinder, and never logged on after I went off.

EDIT: Also, something blew up the Sakuya sprite outside.

EDIT2: Almost everything in the main world was grieved, even the protected sprites. And they're still protected.

Going by livefeed, other things were heavily damaged - namely: Utsuho, Kyuubei, Skye's shrine roof, Reimu, Mario, Nitori, and the UFO roof.

Is it that people are blowing up / burning the main world anyway and moving on to sphere world (speaking of which, Cirno and Flan just seem to be hanging around my area)? :ohdear: Or are we getting griefed by hackers while no one's around to watch over them? Or...admin power abuse?

(and no, I'm not blaming PX/Jquan for this yet)

EDIT: NOW I'm in favour of replacing with backup that also has mob grinder. Sure a lot of hard work is gone, but this was too much of a blow.

I think I'm done with this server.
I spent two weeks, working tirelessly to complete the UFO. AND IT HAS BEEN DESTROYED. I want to know who did this and why. However, I doubt that will ever happen.

DDR, if you have ANYTHING to do with this recent destruction, let me say this: It seems that you care about people playing in your world and want them to continue doing so. But shit like this, for whatever reason is NOT the way to get them to stay.

The backup must have been yesterday's or something. I still lost my progress I made this morning.

Ok. Backup restored. UFO is intact. Not sure if I still give a damn about the server yet... I'm still pretty pissed off

Ah, must be an overnight backup then. As for lost progress, well, can't say much other than sorry about that.

I have a feeling it has a bit to do with DDR's broadcasting of this server on YT and several forums. I know it's a way to expand the userbase, but it also invites unwanted attention from griefers and hackers.
As a precaution, I'm not putting down the server IP in the WIP video or its description.

As a result of this massive incident, real life stuff, and video encode issues I think I'll pass on playing the server event, maybe a little longer, until (at soonest) the vid gets uploaded. It used to be a nice place to build and play along, but now it's starting to get tainted. Getting less incentive to continue developing the areas.

I know. I'll completely disable TNT and fire spread. I can also do build protection on important buildings. I just need to know who's stuff is who's stuff. It's what all major servers do to stop griefing.
It'll take a few days to cover everything.

Good ideas! Blowing up the world is no longer so appealing.

I'll get a rundown of stuff I own for world protection.

I recommend the moderator idea, in particular to trustworthy members of the playerbase who are on often...I wonder if you accept recommendations of others or ourselves into this position?

Passing server event in the name of 50K+ TNT exploding in a 15-minute video I have yet to upload.

I only have about two areas that actually have anything of value, and I'm fairly sure you know what little I've done.
(In the event you don't i'm disappointed I only didn't shut up about it for like a week.)
