Screw this, once v1.7 comes out with modding API we HAVE to have giant Suika mobs running around to crush everything. With a VERY low chance of spawning, almost impossible to kill, and drops diamond blocks and red apples.

Those giant zombies may take 40-50 arrows, but mega-Suika? Expect at least 4 stacks of arrows to kill one of these.

I still say we don't need any of that. This is pretty much the last server I know of that is even remotely similar to unmodded Minecraft, and I'll leave if that sort of crap gets added...

Well, You do know: Completely vanilla minecraft gets boring. Fast. A few mods doesnt hurt anyone, And leaving a server because of what the owner wants to do (as well as the majority), well that's just selfish isnt it?

Leaving a server because I don't like the server is "selfish"? Not liking vanilla Minecraft is taste and opinions, and as such, I believe it's pointless to try justifying it. I'm just saying that it would be weird for this server to start installing too many mods, since it's already established as popular just the way it is.

The fact that it's a creeper and has laserbeams pretty much cancels out melee.
If you get close you either get blown up or lazor'd.

But hey, from space, that's perfectly fine.

A few mods are fine by my book to make things interesting, but not those that drastically alter gameplay (such as money and factions mods). On the other hand added content such as giants that are added onto the existing gameplay cycle are great.

Well, that was a lot of fun now that server's back online. There was a bit more lag than normal, though (server testing?), as well as a 3-prong attack on the world (PX with pyromancy and forests, Ryudo's transfer of Nether to Earth, and now DDR's TNT insanity in the caves).

Overpass was expanded to the north (to the end point of what used to be Bio's pointless rail), and is connected to that route that connects the UFO and Jes' place. Said route was also widened and re-routed to not hug the surface as much (and I didn't feel like cutting down a tree which grew over the old route...I'll keep both of them for now).

Seems like there will be two subway systems...Azure's (already running but 1 rail only, and stops very often) and mine (no rails yet, and split). Well, this'll make things peculiar if the world link rails run underground mostly, with the overpass for areas that aren't as populated (since it takes less effort and resources for that).

DDR said he will upgrade server RAM soon (to 2GB - current 1GB gets 70% usage on average) and also offer something else....

Alright. Mass exploration.

Went out of the main community hub, looking for adventure.
Went pretty far, and saw a large sand hill.
"Oh hey, let's make a base here"
So I did.
Little tower as a checkpoint
Of course, during one of DDR's caving expeditions.

But you know, all things can't always be so nice.
I had a bucket of lava in my inventory. You know what that means.

Then I tried experimenting with lava physics.
Turns out, lava columns still stand

Well, having finished my base of fiery doom, I set out again.
Leaving that burning mess in the distance
Along the way, Mr. Squid decided to join me.

So I murdered him.

Continuing along, the game started lagging. One of those lag tests that DDR keeps on conducting.
INTO THE VOID

Then, looking at the dynamic map, saw an interesting patch of red.
Turns out it's surface lava.

And what's even more interesting....
It's an obsidian mine
LAVA. IS. EVERYWHERE.

Ah that. Yeah when it was set off the amount of explosions made me fear for my life... But we lived and we came out of our bomb shelter, ddr completely wrecked the cave. But yeah it was GIGANTIC.

That's quite odd....can't really help there other than go elsewhere and see if the problem happens there or just your area.

I logged in again but with the mode on normal instead of peaceful which I had on since I first joined the server and mobs started spawning again. Kinda weird cuz things like Cows, Sheep, and Pigs(not from the spawner) didn't spawn and they are supposed to spawn on Peaceful and Ghasts & Pigmen still spawned even though they're not supposed to. Another weird thing that happened this morning was that I couldn't hurt the pigs that came from the spawner, though I was able to hurt things again after I logged in later today.

I think logging out and back in would fix that glitch temporarily, too! When in doubt, log out and back in. As for Notch and fixing bugs, well.. You know how Notch feels about fixing bugs...
