I'm playing/hosting mafia on other forums over break too. They're just not MafiaScum.

I don't know if I actually count as addicted or not. Like Shadoweh said during Zak's sign-ups, I could totally quit any time I want!

So, after losing to Schezo on another site, he showed me that you guys played mafia. I've got to say, it's really interesting/scary. Mostly scary. Regardless, just posting to say I'd like to play with you guys some time if an invitation is good enough  :V.

Oh, so Schezo is off Mafiaing on other sites too?

Wow, Schezo, you could at least be open about your addiction like Shadoweh and I are. That's the only way you're going to get cured.

Also, I'm pretty sure we're always open to new players when sign-ups are open. Just make sure you're able to commit towards playing to win and you should be fine.

Schezo is on EpicMafia according to five seconds on Google.

I play on multiple other sites which are not for the eyes of you stalkers. Except for That Guy (pre-replacement Bogmire) who plays on like two of them.

Three, to be specific! And I recently subbed in for a game on a fourth which is kind of tied to one of the three, but then died to a LYNCH REDIRECTOR like five hours later.

Fucking role madness, man.

Honestly though I'd rather not be stalked on the grounds that I'm not really comfortable showing you people the other sites I mafiers on. <_<

I don't use the name huhwhat anywhere else, and even doing google searches for my other names only finds one of the sites AFAIK (and I guess some others where I lurk/post but don't play mafia).

So <_<.

What makes it scary compared to the rest?

I don't have a standard of comparison.

Fucking role madness, man.

You just brought back horrible memories of another site I use to play mafia on.

PM's allowed. The Roles were made in such a way that ... ooh!
The Mafia Group were all gathering on AIM, and they accidentally added a member of the town to the discussion. The townie posted the whole dialog, and everyone except for one mafioso was traced back to their names. The group tried desperately to twist the situation as a Townie Trust meeting, but of course that was complete crap since it was only day one. Their roles were in such a way that they managed to use WiFoM not based on their alignment, but based on what roles they had and how they were going to use it in order to completely lock down town for the entire game. Town that game was hailed as the stupidest group of idiots ever because they had almost the entire mafia and was trying to lynch them, but couldn't even get half of them.

Couldn't get half of them due to derps or due to roles?

Re: RPG Mafia thread (Holiday break)
« Reply #951 on: November 30, 2011, 11:53:29 PM »
it was 3 parts roles, one part derp
One of them was a Governor-type role, and whoever was protected that day would be the loudest, most obnoxious, and generally try to play the "Obvious Target" Card. A Majority of the people would go along with voting them, even though a handful of smart people were trying to push the others because everyone knew there were anti-lynch roles in the game under scum power. These games also had the tendency to have roles with super secret extra one-shot abilities, so I think the Governor was also able to move the lynch onto a townie for one of the phases as well.

It was a long time ago and I don't remember much, but it burned a hatred inside me against the idea of giving scum free power to dick around with town's only method of actually being able to win the game.

Edit: Tried looking for the game, but much like the ones on the old Shrinemaiden forums, it's one of the kinds of games that's so old that noone thought to archive it.

I meant to respond to this forever ago but I kept forgetting over and over.
Quote
3) Blathering endlessly on end without ever reaching a conclusion or summation. Blabbering on end without reason or purpose or progress. See that Serela person? He tends to say a lot but it's all meaningless when it's conjecture and circular suppositions.
Part of the reason I say all that is so that I manage to get a post out at -all-. Almost the entire reason I tend to be really lurky is because I can't think of anything to say, due to having given half or more of the players a town read and my scum reads either don't post or I can't even begin to make a coherent case about them because of all the tiny leaps of logic on numerous small things I tend to make to achieve my read.

tl;dr I talk like a lunatic because the only realistic alternative I seem to be able to come up with is Not Posting, which I still tend to do to a bad extent (I milk out those 24 hours before prods >>). It's amazing how incredibly little of my posts have logical explanations of why I feel things about people in them. That's part of why I have trouble coming up with posts; I voiced my opinions on people, I don't have any updates on them, I can't think of any way to further advance cases against my scum suspects (Perhaps the sentiment against them is even going well for once), what's there for me to say? This is a terrible problem I need to work on.

Sometimes, it's just easy for me to tell that someone isn't truly trying, or being insincere, however you want to describe "Things That Happen Because You're Scum". But I can't make a real case off of "They don't feel like they're being town, at all!" Examples are me on Conq in the previous game, and me on Eyeback in Diablo, a reverse example being my town read on Shadoweh in Vanilla Mafia which I massively played down because I believed actually saying I thought Shadoweh was 100% town since before D2 would not be productive at all (Common opinion was massively against Shadoweh and me saying she's definitely town would have been a wtf thing). I'd probably have more examples but that's all the games I've lived past D1 and was town that have happened anywhere recently at all (Except for me actually at least SORT OF having cases in Vanilla Mafia).

Mmn I'm tired, naptime.
