Gawsh, do I arrive so late. I was told of this place by... eff, I forget names.

I was that wigless Princess Wriggle. I was planning to bring a wig but it became bad and I hated the colour so much. orz

What's great about the video is originally it was just the Madoka girls.  We were standing up in the flowers being all elegant or something.  And then MJP comes back with my sammich, and there was another one who was tagging around the main photoshoot (they pulled one of each lady) and we're like OH HEY MORNING RESCUE GUYS and here we are now.

Wait where do you go then?  I was under the impression that if you wanted a room near the con center you were paying double if you didn't go through Passkey/Otakon rate.

Corporate negotiated rates.  I usually get rooms for less than $125/night; this year I got around that much for a room at the Sheraton Inner Harbor.

Edit - also, you'd be surprised re: the otakon rates.  I've found in the past that some hotels charge more if you tell them you're there for the convention.  Perhaps that's changed in the last few years.

I actually got a hotel outside of the Otakon rates. o3o $179 per night when I book'd wif the Hampton website. Had two bedrooms and a sofa... but it was a biiiig room. I think we're gonna try to get that similar room next year.

... Wait wut, next year reservations already? I don't even know what cosplays to do! *fffffffffffffffff*

Yeah we're doing Holiday Inn again I think.  I found the Days Inn to be cramped if you have 4-5 people + costumes, but maybe we just happened to get loser rooms the years we did it.

It sounded like the Holiday Inn/Days Inn were at least more the way to go than the Radisson, from what I heard. They had microwaves and mini-fridges, which would have opened possible snacking opportunities from the lovely world of pop-tarts and space tuna (those little tuna-to-go things.) The Radisson was not fantastic, I have to say. We could totally hear through the walls (luckily we did not have gregarious neighbors...) Also, there was a window in my shower. Why?

We still got the space-tuna and rice cakes since we didn't know about the fridge/microwaves, but I will be abusing them next year ohoho.

Ahhh Saturday shoot!  I was off Being Meguca and didn't make it but THAT'S where all the moonbunnies were that we missed on Friday!

I've been at the Days before, a few years ago, and it wasn't so bad. We managed to get six in plus costumes without being too cramped, but since it's so cheap I might try to stick to 4-5 people just for the extra room (and so everyone gets a bed, haha).

I can't wait until I'm able to Brohou it up.  I seriously wouldn't mind wearing just any dang Touhou costume from China but there is zero way I can pull off anything remotely feminine enough to look like the Touhou equivalent of Man-Faye.  Think a mix of Wolverine and Reimu, and not in a good way, bub.
