Mmm I'm gonna hold here but leave what I would answer with:

"Although the answer to both of those questions is yes if your demands are rulership over the islands, I can assist in you being successfully appointed by the ways of Bhava-Agra if you chose to forge that route. If it were your wish I could arrange for a committee to meet as soon as possible to discuss your desire to lead and represent you there, as I am beholden to serve you in some way by this point."

I'm trying to think of a way to work in that she would end up embroiled in Celestial Burecracy but the words aren't coming to me.

Do as you need to do, I will very likely not be partaking in this discussion again and I'd rather not see the game held up while I am at work.

I really don't want Remilia's hands on those islands in any way, shape or form, though.

Okay, I think I may know how to respond to this, given the answer to this question is fairly automatic.

Ohoho, I see what you're doing there, Little Miss Batty Bat.

I have no problem with such a thing as long as it is on our own terms. We cannot be asked to compromise our morals or beliefs, and we cannot supercede an order from The Dragon with a request from Remilia. If we're given those two things, though, then it's fine by me.

My suggested response: "As I trust you will never request I compromise my beliefs, I will be glad to assist you at the earliest opportunity."

I really hope you have a plan, here, because I'm with you; I'd really rather not give her the islands in any way at all.

Also, Remilia may at the moment have the impression that if she's elected, she would maintain ownership of the islands, while I would think that such an election would, if she one, result in her running the islands as the others are run but not retaining ownership of them. Just something to keep in mind.

>"We have a few more requests," says Remilia. "Should We be ousted despite your efforts to the contrary, we shall require a few things of our provinces. Firstly, we shall require the flag to be honored as would be expected of any such emblem. As well, We would need it to be noted that they were once properly part of Volatilis Scarlet Regnum, though no longer, for the sake of history. We would also request a monument of that time, should it come to pass, be constructed in memory of those harmed during this event. We expect these will be no issue, but it would be unseemly to not mention such ahead of time."

I've been thinking about how Shadoweh presented the revised arrangement, and I've realized that ultimately, if the people of those islands vote her in as an advisor (which is basically what her position would amount to now), then that is their right to do so. The land still belongs to Bhava-Agra, but she's free to suggest improvements as she likes, and every such improvement that the celestials agree with is a manner in which they wished to change their lives as well as another feather in her cap, so everyone benefits. The one thing I did not want was "improvements" forced upon these people, and I am rather satisfied at this point that this is not a concern.

Fake Edit: Possibly. Let me read it on break. I think she uses "our provinces" in the sense that she considers them hers at the moment, though.
