Lately I've been trying to draw on my sketch book and also using a tablet, but I keep erasing the drawings because I think it looks terrible. Sometimes I might draw something that I think is decent on my notebook while in class and I want to make it better in my sketchbook but it never ends up being as good as my first time. Then I thought, why not share what I have on my notebook, my drawings there always ends up better than anything else I try to draw. But I have a real problem, everytime I want to attempt to draw something on my sketchbook I always say to myself "Why bother? It's just going to look terrible anyways." This isn't a good attitude for me especially since I'm studying for a degree in Game Art. Most of the time I think the characters I draw feel lifeless, the style I'm going for doesn't look good, or something just doesn't seem right. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some advice to help me improve.
But enough of me talking, here is some of the stuff I liked from my notebook:
This is the first thing I though looked decent. At first I tried to draw Nitori in some sort of Steampunkish clothing, but then I decided to add like a mad scientist's head on a flying saucer.
I tried drawing Courage, but he ended up looking like something that would scare him.
It's a hobo dwarf and a monster from Amnesia: The Dark Descent, or at least what I think it looks like before the screen goes blurry from insanity.
This page is filled with things that just want to hug you. And possibly eat your face too.
It's supposed to be Utsuho in Metal-themed clothing. I liked how the control rod turned out, but I thing the thing on her right foot looks silly.
