As for the Bamboos, make sure it's a Bamboo Pen if you want one. Newer ones are split between Pen, Touch, and Pen + Touch, and TBH I don't get the whole fuss with the touch ones (Apple's Magic Trackpad much?). Great tablets though for drawing (I have an older model that was from before this split).

As for band camp...eh, well, stay frosty.

Not a problem - after colouring adjust the saturation and levels, maybe contrast as well.

Here's a quick colored headshot with warmer, more saturated colors. I think it looks better than before.
Her head is all crooked. Well, it was drawn specifically to color, so I guess it doesn't matter.
