>"Sure it isn't"
>Eirin runs a few more tests. Finally she sighs.
>"Well.... How do I put it. She IS sick, but...."
>"It's not a sickness medicine can handle. You see, physically she's fine. But I don't think she's alright spiritually.... And this is out of my field"
>She doesn't look happy at all.

>"She doesn't have any infections, nor does she have any other symptoms apart from being sweaty and pale. I checked her eyes and her entire body for anything suspicious that could affect such a mighty youkai and found nothing"
>Eirin stands up "Wherever your Mistress' mind or spirit is right now, she isn't having a pleasant time"
>"And by the way.... Yukari's immune to diseases, just so you know. She's among the mightiest of youkai and such things as a cold and such cannot affect her."
>She gathers her things back in her bag "I thought that maybe you found an unknown disease that could take down youkai in Gensokyo.... But that's not the case here"

Purv, are you intentionally avoiding asking whether she has any idea who might be capable of/responsible for this, or is that just forgetfulness?
There was something here once. Wonder what...

>You finished packing. Eirins gets her brown bag and hands you her empty cup, left from the tea, and gets up.

I assume she would have volunteered that kind of information; and digging for more is rather pointless as she has stated its outside of her realm of expertise.

>"Thank you again. I expect you can't really make a guess on who or what the cause might be?"

>"Actually... no, I don't" Eirin has a serious expression on her face "But one thing's sure, this isn't normal even for Gensokyo standards... And I'm not even sure if this is magically caused or spiritually inflicted. And this is Yukari Yakumo we're talking about here. She's no pushover... Not to mention that I'm not sure who might have such a power in Gensokyo. Maybe the gods?" Eirin shrugs.
>"Well... I shall take my leave" you both are out of the household and Eirin waves to you. She seems moved by this issue. if Yukari would've died in any way, Gensokyo would cease existing.

>Late afternoon. about 5 PM
>There's Reimu Hakurei, but she's far from reliable. Marisa, Patchouli Knowledge and Alice Margatroid have the magical knowledge... There's the Myourensen at the human village. Also, there's the Moriya shrine on the Youkai Mountain. That's what comes to your mind about the word "spiritual"

>What do we know of Myourensen? And all of these mooks, in fact?

>You know that Myourensen is a temple that was formerly some kind of a battle ship. Their leader is Byakuren Hijiri. She established the third major religion in Gensokyo and with her friendliness she has her church open for both youkai and humans alike. A very peaceful person gaining many followers, also mighty ones. You saw Shou a few days ago, when you were looking for Chen. She seemed like a nice person. You aren't aware i they might help you in your Yukari problem, as they don't have shrine maidens. They're different then Moriya and Hakurei.

>Would it be remotely possible, let alone wise, to carry Yukari along to visit people for examination in order to save time?

>It would be stupid, you think. Carrying a "sick" sweaty pale person around is not only impractical but also embarrassing.

>You heard she was sealed before as she helped youkai in many ways. She managed to reach great power. But people do seem to forgive her now.
>Oh, my, does Yukari-sama have to eat? She certainly likes eating but does she have to? During hibernation she doesn't. Her body seems to be of no need for such during that period, but what does this time now count for...?

>Yukari didn't express distaste nor satisfaction. Just mere curiosity. If she had any more conact with Byakuren, she didn't tell you.
>While you think, you proceed tot he kitchen and cook some broth. the supplies are running low, but there is more then enough.
>When it's finished, you get back to Yukari-sama's.
>You feed her. It's hard and takes time, you must rotate her so she could swallow properly.
>It's done without much trouble, thankfully.

>This done, let's go find that Byakuren! Hopefully we have some clue where the temple is.

>The sun is slowly going towards the west horizon as you go out of your household.
>You DO know where the temple is, because you were at it's entrance while searching for Chen at the human village. You already met miss Shou Toramaru. She complimented your tails and promised to have her eyes out for Chen. Which was 2days ago.
>You flyyy off to the human village.
>Current Magic Power level: 66%/100%. This magic seems... weird, you think. You have a little more trouble regenerating while miss Yukari's hibernating then usual.
>As you managed to arrive to the human village, the sun has set and said goodbye to the land of Gensokyo for the day. The moon is visible through the clouds a bit. a half moon, like a big cut cheese circle.
>As you land, you see something on the ground rustling.

>"In the Yakumo Household, Mistress of the hold, Yukari Yakumo, known as the Gap Youkai, Lady of the Barrier, was found sleeping although spring came. She can't be awaken and her shikigami were not home.
Could this mean a new crisis striking Gensokyo as yours truly writes this very article?
Stay tuned for more tasty details!"
>That's the first page of the paper. There's merely one photo of lady Yukari sleeping though.
>On the second page there just a few biographical details about lady Yukari participating in past Gensokyo trouble, which you took part in as well. Looks like just a filler.
