Apparently Rinnosuke spotted the poltergeist hurrying south past his shop last night. This is the most recent sighting of her of which I'm aware. Right now I'm thinking we pay Alice another visit, as well as look for Wriggle. One of them may know something. If not...I'd rather not visit the Scarlet Devil Mansion right now, as I am not particularly happy with them and am not sure I could entirely maintain my composure, but they'd be further southward."

>"Oh, I've passed by Wriggle's house a few times," says Renko. "It's a bit hard to find, though, since she lives off the beaten path.  There's a stream south of the house, which eventually feeds into the lake. Follow it westward, and you ought to see a trail by a stand of trees. There ought to be a lot of mushrooms around it, but it might be a bad time of year for them right now."
>She shrugs.
>"Anyways, follow that path, and you'll find a huge mushroom. She lives in that. Shouldn't be too far from the edge of the bamboo forest."

>"Good luck!" says Renko, waving at you with her washrag hand.
>You head southward, going into the forest once more. The foliage isn't too heavy and the leaves are mostly dry and crackly. You see a path leads right to the stream; like this is where Maribel and Renko get their water from. The stream itself is broad and shallow, flowing lazily between the trees.

> Keep an eye out for any people or any trails.

>You make your way down the stream, picking your way through the underbrush. It's rather nice and peaceful, with the periodic leaf floating down the stream and the breeze rustling the trees. Sunlight shines from above, adding some warmth to the cool air. Unfortunately, Renko's directions are rather vague, and it is difficult to tell tell exactly which path she was taking about, for there are many trails leading off from the stream. You try to look for those that would nest a lot of mushrooms, and it helps you eliminate many of them in more verdant areas.
>As you investigate one such path, you hear rustling. Then Tenshi cries out.

>You look back.
>Between you and Tenshi is the Poltergeist. She stands on Tenshi's shadow, pinning the celestial's arms down with her feet.  Tenshi seems to be struggling in place, and certainly is sounding less and less happy by the moment. The poltergeist pays her no mind, instead glaring at you. A long, thin shadow with many branches lays on the ground in front of her, nearly reaching your feet.
>"How are you here?" she says. "You disappeared!"
