Suggestion: Maybe getting someone's attention by using 22B calling down a localized lightning bolt would be a strategy to use. However, we may not have the strength for it, and it might attract Marisa of all people (assuming she's even here).

rdj: I'm currently thinking the giant flash would have alerted anyone in the vicinity to our location, so if people are coming, I expect they're already on their way.

In fact, I'm 75% hoping Tenshi saw it and realized what it was.

Ah, that's true. A bright flash of light would be more noticeable than a single bolt.

Just trying to be helpful, since I haven't done much else this game.

Nah, that's fine. Ideas are good.

And far be it from me to accuse someone else of being unhelpful, given what has gone down in the last 500 posts or so. >_>

>You try to fling some danmaku. To be honest, it's neither beautiful nor effective, missing her by a wide margin. You need a moment to regather yourself.

>You try not to let yourself be overwhelmed; it's certainly easier when you're not having to hold a spellcard together. You think you should be able to function normally for awhile. The pain is ebbing a bit, without the poltergeist actively tearing into your shadow.
>The poltergeist is ahead of you, and your shadow is falling to your right. Her own shadow is human-like, but it seems to be short-haired and wearing a skirt.

We may be dealing with Kogasa here, or possibly another victim we haven't met yet. I don't think it's Nitori, unless twintails are added in the next description.

Yeah, it does seem like it might be Kogasa. I'm not sure that this would give her any abilities of note, of course. I'm mildly concerned that, if that's an actual piece of Kogasa, that hurting the poltergeist might also hurt her. But I don't think there's much we can do about that bit at the moment, in either case.

>It is short, and there seems to be a folded umbrella, now that you look closer.

>Scan for a nearby tree was can use for shadow cover, and move towards it
>Launch another bolt of danmaku lightning at her while we shift

>You look around and find a tree that should keep your shadow safe; you think you might have used it before, in fact.
>Drawing back toward it, you send more lightning at her. She pushes herself from the tree as you start the motion to send it, and it just catches her arm, rather than catching her full like you were trying to do.

>Yes, and the defensive benefits come from the offense making you difficult to reach and forcing the unwary into the defensive.
>You can cancel them, but it takes a moment. In a danmaku battle, it is too long to allow for effective dodging.

Just for clarification,

>The shadow holds and umbrella, but the Poltergeist does not seem to be miming this.
