>You gently apply some more pressure, and feel the resistance give a little. You do feel a little pressure against your fingertip, which you are certain comes from the head of the screwdriver pushing against it.

>It does not seem to be threatening your finger.
>You do not see any difference at the moment.
>You add a little bit more. There is a sort of wear tearing noise; you imagine it would be the kind of sound that would happen in the back of a butcher shop; and the screwdriver turns. A sort of dark purple light radiates at the tip of your finger, coming from a slit in the air about an inch across.

>Fell asleep pretty much instantly.
>You keep as still as you can. The tear is about an inch across, and maybe an eighth of an inch thick. The radiance is a sort of deep purple color, practically blinding when compared to the emptiness here. You also notice the tear is getting larger, bending around your finger on both sides and extending down toward your hand.

>Scan around our surroundings
>Can we tell where we are?
>Can we see anyone else here?

>You look around, and see that your first impression is quite accurate; you are in the middle of a barren field. Dotting the land, in addition to the patches of scrub grass, is the occasional rock. Looking up, you see the sky is crimson, with odd spots of darker scarlet that suggest something kine clouds. There is a kind of distortion to the sky as well, reminding you of the air shimmering on a hot day.
>You do not really know where you are. Nor do you see anyone else here.

> Brown grass? So there's color here? Neat.
> Check our shadow.
