In the air? You mean in our arms, right, since we're currently walking?
I suppose there's an argument for keeping her off the ground. I just wanted a comfortable distance. She can presumably still shoot at us, even with bound hands, depending on the angle we're holding her. And she's bound to start struggling if we try to keep holding onto her.

Even just in our arms is fine, since it's off the ground. It was really obvious that she didn't ever fly, but, in thinking back, I don't even recall any instance where she did so much as jump upward. The only times she ever left the ground were to jump to the side to dodge something or to pick her feet up in the function of moving. If we keep her off the ground in any capacity, she's going to be very much out of her element.

Struggles would not surprise me, but I imagine there isn't a whole lot she can do that would make us lose our grip, since she's so light.

Shooting could be a problem, yes - perhaps it would be wise to shift her position in our arms so her hands and feet are pointed slightly away from us? I assume we've been carrying her with her feet and hands in the air the entire time.

Yes, but do we want to make her feel any more out of her element than she clearly is already going to be, being tied up, outside the forest in a place she's probably never seen, having lost, and with her victor looming over her?

Well, I figured we'd end up having part of our conversation here, rather than just keep running off with her.

(Sorry, wanted to delete and rewrite that post before your response, because I forgot the really important part.)

Given the situation, I prefer scared stiff to scared trashing. With her in our arms and Tenshi close by, she may be terrified out of her mind, but we're going to be a completely dominant position and we're not going to do anything harmful to her that she doesn't bring upon herself, which may serve as something of a comforter.

Also I just want to hightail it to Nitori's. >_>

But whatever, I guess it will be what it will be. Annoying that I'm going to miss out on this AGAIN, but such is life.

Other random thought: If we do start having this conversation here and she gets resistant and/or belligerent, aren't we going to have to pick her back up to get her to Nitori's anyway?

I suppose that depends on how belligerent. If she tries being totally stupid, she may just end up knocked out again. Alternately, if we're lucky, we may be able to pick her up again with less struggling that we'd get if we held on now. Certainly I have no qualms with shooting her if she still insists on trying to harm us.

I don't really want to threaten her if I don't have to, though. :( I'd rather the environment do the threatening for us, so we can be the defender instead of the aggressor. More flies with honey than vinegar an' all that.

I don't want to, either. The funny thing is that I still see what you're suggesting as the more threatening of the two. We set her down, give her her space, and we don't have need to respond with any force unless she goes overboard. I think trying to hold onto her against her wishes would actually feel like a greater act of aggression. Maybe that's a subjective thing?

Possible. I see your way as worse because, with my way, we don't have to respond with force at all, which is my personal top concern.

You call dropping her from the sky not applying force?

For that matter, if she starts shooting or doing other extremely unpleasant things while we try to hold her, what were you proposing doing about it?

I call her dropping from our grip because she struggled so much we couldn't maintain it despite our best efforts not applying force, yes.

For that matter, if she starts shooting or doing other extremely unpleasant things while we try to hold her, what were you proposing doing about it?

In that case, she would be the instigator, though I wonder if she could really hit us with anything if her hands are aimed away from us. In your scenario, we may have to have to end up shooting at her without her shooting at us, which is not something I like.

Feels like a technicality to me. Although the original post implied that we would intentionally drop her if she started acting up; I suppose this isn't quite as bad.

In that case, she would be the instigator, though I wonder if she could really hit us with anything if her hands are aimed away from us. In your scenario, we may have to have to end up shooting at her without her shooting at us, which is not something I like.

Why would we need to end up doing that? If she's not trying to attack us somehow, what cause do we have to attack her ourselves?

Might as well agree to disagree, then, especially since it seems moot now.

Just a thought for this next discussion: she's shown propensity to interrupt before, so being short-winded and to the point may be best while she's in an angry panic.
