Well, since we took the key anyway, we might as well leave it with Rinnosuke. Silence is golden, and all.

Or we could just dispose of it elsewhere. Even if we can trust his silence, I don't see that we need to tell him, either. Not that I expect a key is worth a great deal in any case. Unless we have an immediate or obvious use for something here, which I don't currently see, I think we may as well wait in the hopes that we find something more suited to trade. I can agree with hanging on to our spellcards at the moment, unless something important comes up.

>"Oh, yes, sorry. I don't suppose I mentioned that either. But apparently she was supposed to meet up with Utsuho earlier today, and hasn't shown up. Given other circumstances, I must admit that's left me vaguely nervous."

>About how large is the opening at the tip of the cone?

Was there anything in particular you wanted?

herp missed this

Nothing beyond the two things Tenshi mentioned. The gem for the obvious reasons, and the Ice Wand because it's a goddamn Ice Wand and I feel inadequate next to the Sword of Hisou. :(

What IS this Ice Wand of which you speak, anyway?

Edit: I realize you're referring to the 'blunted javelin', but I have no idea what you seem to think it is

Although in thinking on the rest of the description I'm no longer sure it's actually an Ice Wand.

(The Ice Wand is a plunger, read more Hole of Yago :<)

Oh, hmmm.... A plunger occurred to me also, but I'm not sure what to make about the tapering cone on the end of it. I might just be visualizing it wrong, though.

In any case, in absence of any suitable valuables, I guess we head off after Renko now, and by extension Yamame?

No problems here. I also want some more alone time with Tenshi so I can get her involved on Aya pantyshot hunting without anyone around to hear, and the flight will provide a good excuse for that.

Actually, it occurs to me that it's probably been a nice while since we last dropped by Renko and Maribel's place, isn't it? We've had time to visit Patchouli, then travel to Hina's, meet with Nitori, leave the village entirely, the fly all the way back to the shrine, drop in on Aya, and come back down this way. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to try knocking on their door again before we wander around the forest looking for them?

>About how long has passed since we last saw Renko?

>"Okay," says Tenshi as you suggest the next course of action.
>"I shall keep your assurances in mind," says Rinnosuke, as you depart.
>You follow the road back to Kame House Renko and Maribel's home. It is not a long trip for you. As you approach the house, you notice someone standing by the door in a black dress with blue trim. Her hair is white, and cut rather short. Her back is turned to you, displaying smallish wings, but she has an aura of familiarity about her.
