11k and the beginning of an adventure into a killing world

"You were still planning to leave without consulting me first. I am the law here, I am the ruler here, you do nothing unless I wish it!" The principle rose her arm and swung toward Takashi with a brutal force, sending him off his feet and into the wall to his side. Any and all who witnessed it fell silent, gasping to the scene that just played out to them.

"To think, you were planning to go to a holy land and leave us all to rot in this hellhole of a world...how selfish of you, Takashi...how utterly selfish." The horned woman looked up to the crowd who literally lost all words to say in response, seeing their silence as merely an oppurtunity, Ms. Gakisawa spoke once more unto them. Her voice carrying the flithy dagger of deception. "Do you see it? Do you see what happens to those who try to abandon us here?" Everyone's eyes fell to the crumpled, and bloody, body of Takashi...barely alive, yet still trying to stand. His death was nigh...but he was continuing to fight it for a chance to clear his name.

"Punishment is swift, but optional...I could have let him go, he could have avoided my hand of justice...but he made the grave mistake of conspiring behind my back. Know the name Takashi Toshizuko; it is the name of the first example of those who think it's a wise decision to plot while they think I am not watching them."

To continue to hold something against Iyo was something that had her bear eared friend applying palm to face as he saw her fuming at what she saw. "Do you even realize what you're doing here?"

"Of course I do." Iyo blinked for a moment or two before her featureless expression broke into a grin as she thumbed to herself with the still steaming fists. "I'm taking out a tyrant!"

I'm at 38k and I haven't even reached the crucial turning point for my novel - and probably won't until roughly the 50k mark.  And that is supposed to be the halfway mark.

Not exactly. I'm just saying that for total participants through all of NaNoWriMo, the success rate was around 18% last year. Our group should hopefully beat that. Trance has finished, 3 or 4 of us are ahead of schedule, and several more will probably catch up before the end. 8 people finishing out of 32 is already 25%, but I think we can do better still.

Hey guys.

Little piece of advice from me.

Don't give up and just keep truckin'. Take each day in stride and just try your best. There will be times when you lose that spark, but just don't lose hope. You still have some time to make that goal.

I... have a confession to make, though.

Despite reaching this goal, I believe that the final product I will have isn't satisfactory to me. Even with editing during December, I don't think it's worth keeping around. Hahaha.
