Though I almost assumed it since I knew someone else did that as well :3

I think I know who you're referring to. Just so you know, she's now at around 10000 words and cackling madly all the way. We're both writing horrible rubbish, but we don't care. XD

Also, it's only day 2 - your milestone for today should be about 4200 words. Relax~

Actually, here's another segment I discarded before the one above.

Feel free to impale your eyeballs on your pens after reading this.

Quote
??greed, theft, bullying, toying with hearts of young maidens?..BLACK.?

The air shimmered. Heat rose up like a rather lazy spirit drenched in sweat. The flowers were in full bloom, their colours burning almost as radiantly as the blazing sun above. It was still a long time to go till the blessed rains of autumn, but for now it was a time to blossom and shine with all their glory. They waved a little, majestically, despite the complete lack of breeze.

??greed, bullying, selling fake medicine, toying with the hearts of young maidens?.BLACK.?

The sun blazed. Insects buzzed, busy buzzing.

??.greed, bullying, infidelity, polyamory, toying with the hearts of young maidens?.BLA-?..? The tall, crested?now slightly sweat-drenched Yama-hat, rustled gently as the visage underneath it shook itself in an attempt to shrug the heat out of its vision. The sharp, stern diamond-glazed sapphire eyes blinked. Even in the darkness of the shadow beneath the hat?s wide brim, the eyes glowed with?.if not the burning fires of justice, then at least, at the moment, the glowing embers of impartiality. ??.Ruro.? The verdict fell.

It was a fair verdict. For this particular?.thing?.was a class?no, a league of its own. It was also holding out a hand to the immortal judge of the seven hells as if asking for lunch money.

?Strawberries.? It said.

The air stirred a little. A light breeze blew by, as if to cover the rather awkward, embarrassing silence. The fiery sunlight glinted blindingly off the golden emblem on the Yama-hat, lighting up the smooth, fair, infuriatingly innocent face that now gazed up at the young judge.

The Rurosaka shrine did not have shrinemaidens. It had swordsmaidens.

?Yuka?s singing karaoke again.? The young swordsmaiden explained. Here, in Gensokyo, that was not only an explanation, it was considered ?Too Much Information?.

??.Black.? Shiki shook her head in pity, both at the poor fools who were too slow, stupid or catatonic to outrun/fly the sonic boom that would now be engulfing the sunflower fields in a shroud of death at the speed of sound, and at herself. It was already a busy day. Now she knew it was only going to get busier.

She looked over the distance at the long, miserable queue of spirits leading up to the Sanzu river. She could just about spot Komachi coming to dock, carrying an entire ferryload of spirits, which was against occupational health and safety protocols (yes, the dead are big on occupational health. It?s the new ?in? thing.). Besides, it doesn?t look good when something as significant as life after death is treated like a factory production line.

?Maybe I should just fire Komachi and build a bridge?.? A treacherous part of her mind thought?.but she quickly shook off that thought, blaming it on the heat and the strawberryesque distraction.

This was perhaps Justice?s joke on her. She, who dispensed it, was given none. She glared down at it?.her?.Justice, and sighed, ??.we?ve already had a strawberry break an hour ago.?

?So?? The swordsmaiden asked, as if the fact was of no relevance whatsoever. It wasn?t. Not to her. She was very quantal in her view of JUSTICE. The past has had plenty of strawberries. The future has yet to have any. So it is only JUST that there be plenty of strawberries in the future too. ?You need a strawberry break.? She added.

In their relationship, this was their equivalent of a suggestive wink, a gentle caress, a deep, lustful gaze, and an invitation to use the bathroom.

My word count is now at significant numbers

Also I'm debating if I even have a segment written that is even good enough to post as an excerpt but I should do so anyway.

I just had a conversation with someone that basically went like this:

"So what's the hero's name?"
"Freedom."
"...No, just no.  You can't be serious."
"I am."
"No you're not."

I was going for something with the same cheese as Fate or Cloud or Might and ended up crossing the line apparently.  But I'm fine with that.  He changes his name later anyway (Or at least, he's now going to)

That's me up to 3885 words~!  Oh god if I keep this pace up this'll quickly become the biggest thing I've ever written. >.>

It's probably bad that I'm trying to write a semi-serious story... Whose main characters are named Universal Solvent, Special K and Justice League of America.  I'd make up some bullshit about it being a critique on our consumer driven culture, but the truth is I just wanted to give everyone silly names. >.>

To be fair, Suikama, that's 3 different routes in Fate which already cuts it down to maybe 270,000 each. And that's ignoring bad ends and omake stuff like the Tiger Dojos.

Broke 5k today with a last-ditch push after chess. Tired. =_=

Damnit, my pride is now at stake!  Ffffff

Also I'm so damn picky with my words, that I'm going slow.  This is gonna be a three or four hour ordeal to surpass the 10k mark today... welp, got nothing better to do 8D

>_>

Though I already have an excerpt up on my NaNoWriMo profile, that one is just to go along with the synopsis, later tonight I may get around to posting something more substantial, but we'll see.

If I can get up to 15k today, I'll be very happy, but I'm not expecting anything.

Still 4 pages.

I plan to change this once I get more rest and something to help me have my words flow a little better. Also...

I really like writing this girl...if I can ever get into the right mood, I'd have a field day on her...

I love introducing random minor characters who I'm suddenly interested in enough to want to bring back later.  Specifically, a chain-smoking old lady with a vague resemblance to The Administrator, who used to be a big adventuring Hero and her current job involves her assigning paperwork to would-be heroes and watching them complete it.  And she doesn't like it.

Also I think I'm going to have to break that no-smut thing tomorrow.  One of the characters is refusing to wait any longer to get his hands on another one.  Sigh...

Ah what the hell... I'll go ahead and attempt this thing. I'll update with an actual word count when I have more than a chapter finished. Also I should probably register and get a fancy word count box and stuff. Bah, it will have to be tomorrow since I must go but this should be interesting.

FOR A QUICK AND DIRTY SYNOPSIS: Ivan is an engineer on a ship. And... and then stuff happened.  :V
