So close...

Got really bored today since we had a snow day, decided to attempt PoFV Lunatic with Yuuka without unfocusing.
The result?

Pretty damn close to a clear.

I am pleased~

No unfocus? I am complete garbage at playing with focus (at all) in PoFV, so I congratulate you on your almost clear.

Captured 11 of the 13 spell cards on MoF Extra and I nearly doubled my previous best from a meager 180 and change to a more substantial 317 and change. Improvements, improvements.
I also died 3 times on Suwa War and forgot to save the replay. I've been so dissatisfied with how I start off, it's almost automatic to skip it. :colonveeplusalpha:

I barely got MoF on hard actually... I'm thinking IN next since it's relatively easy, then a tossup between EoSD/PCB/MS, then maybe MoF after those. SA hard and SoEW will fit themselves in whenever I feel like playing them, SA lunatic after my other lunatics, UFO hard after SA lunatic, UFO lunatic after I can no death no bomb DDP DaiOuJou's Hibachi... Basically easiest to hardest.

Just for lulz I decided to try TH5 just to see how far I could get on easy. 1CCd the game even though I've never played a PC-98 Touhou before >_>;;;

Beat the game as Yuuka. lost my first life to Alice and nearly got destroyed by Yuki and Mai (those damn fat curving lasers killed me 3 times in a row) and beat Shiki on my last life with no bombs.

Congratz =). You should give LLS a try on normal next, I find that game's difficulty is about a point lower than it should be. Ie. hard feels like normal, lunatic feels like hard.

Also, assuming it was Alice's pellet swarm that killed you, she will only shoot aimed shots if you don't attack her during her shield phases, which is very nice for easy grazing. More graze, more points, more extends!

I don't quite remember what killed me. I think I backed back into a bullet I had already dodged. Shame MS doesn't have a replay function that I noticed.

Yeah, EoSD is the first to have a replay feature... And you can notice it (no replays on practice for example).

I'm sure MoF will be easy for you. Just bomb everything. Its certainly easier than EoSD. But its danmaku is harder than IN and PCB's so you might want to start out with those. IN is in my opinion the second easiest Touhou game to 1cc on Lunatic, the number 1 being PCB, so that's a pretty good step for you. Both will give you lives like there's no tomorrow and PCB have a very abusable cherry border system as well so... its basically get cherry border, blow it up when its about to end and fill your cherry gauge half-way up again and suddenly you are at Stage 6 with 8 lives. When you get better that is. In your first run you will understandably lose a lot of lives along the way since it requires some knowledge and experience to know exactly what is threatening in PCB and how to remove it from existance.

Regardless of what you choose, IN, PCB or my personal first, MoF, i wish you good luck with it.

Let's try 90 FPS now. This is seriously easy mode now after the 300 and 150 FPS fails.

This was a few tries after a double KO on the final card BTW. Did the glitch to make Suwako's first card ridiculously easy as I didn't want to risk derping that. It's not really that hard though, just a matter of not being a derp.

Have finally managed to 1cc PoDD Normal with all three characters I really wanted to do it with (Kotohime, Kana and Ellen to be more precise). Pretty awful scores though.

Now need to 1cc Hard with someone besides Yumemi.

Apparently I can pacify Yumeko. The hard phases that occur at the end of the streaming phases don't occur if you time them out so it's not really that hard to do.

YES!!! I finally did it! As you may have read from the failures thread, I was having trouble with SA normal. But I finally did it! (Ya happy now chirpy?)
But anyways, it was a pretty epic run. I managed to never die until boss Orin's second nonspell (a derp death), so at that point, I had max lives in stock. Then I lost a few but still ended up with 4 lives at the end.
It's funny, because this was my first attempt for the day. I have no idea how I did this and I don't expect myself to top this in a long time.

Finally cleared gfw extra

however there was like 9% slow down =/ It's not like it helped though cuz sometimes it randomly shoot up to 60 and cause me to overshoot into a bullet. Still im pleased. Now I just gotta clear sa extra and that'll be ill have cleared all the windows extra mode
