If there's one part of this I am proud of, it's capturing "Legendary Flying Saucer" (I had no bombs at the time). Totally unexpected.

It's a cap of Earth Light Ray. The accomplishment is that I went through a few walls unfocused and survived, and I was certainly not expecting to do that.

Also, I've heard this spell is harder on normal than on lunatic. Can I assume this is true?

Yes. Lunatic and Hard just involve starting at one side and tapping every wave, while tapping a bit further if there's a laser in the way. Normal is just whaaaaaaaa?

After much grinding and rage, I have finally defeated my first Ex boss: Koishi!    Funny thing is, the stage used to be so difficult for me, I'd be down to no lives and no power by the time she'd show up. I nearly wrote her off as "one of the harder ones I'll get back to later", but things significantly improved once I managed to get through Sanae with full power.

Philosophy of the Hated Person can kiss my ass, though.

You beat Koishi as your FIRST Extra Boss?   Impressive!  I consider her one of the toughest Extra bosses!  Now the rest of them will seem easy to you.

Anyway, I managed to capture Yukari's last three spells in PCB. :V (The 3rd-to-last and last were captured in the same run.  The 2nd-to-last was captured in a separate run, without the safespot )

Koishi was the only one that I dedicated myself to. Like I said, getting full power before Sanae really made the difference. (as well as learning Ancestors...)

I've captured the normal one by micro-tapping before. You make a tiny tap left or right after each wave (it doesn't matter which direction you tap, so long as you tap when there is no firing sound). Then, you hope you don't land in the wrong pixel where the laser shoots you (you can move out of the way 30% of the time when you happen to land on one).
You can balance the left and right taps so that you stay under Marisa most of the time.
I don't recommend this method - it's purely luck based.

All right. I knew it would be a matter of time before I got this. All I needed was for Hell God Sword to be at least somewhat nice, and to not derp myself on "Components of Konpaku".

I've only made it to Shou's third non-spell. Attempts? Dunno, two or three i guess. Well i need to stop being a douchebag and congratulate on finally getting that thing out of the way so you can concentrate on more important stuff like everything else.

Random Phantasm attempt, had a perfect run all the way to the end of BoLaD. And I do mean the end of it. I don't have a replay because 1) my replay list was full, and 2) I somehow messed up "Danmaku Bounded Field" as well. But damn, I had no idea I could get that close.

This includes "Imperishable Shooting". I deathbombed in the three places I expected: Mokou's eighth nonspell, "Fujiyama Volcano", and "Hourai Doll".

At least practice Fujiyama Volcano and Hourai Doll though; they're not that bad. You wouldn't have had to fail Fujiyama Volcano if you moved left more slowly on the second wave.

My first SA Lunatic 1cc that vaguely resembles a scorerun. Final score: 2,407,942,880.

I chose to supergraze only a handful of things, but that still got me to over 50k graze. Also lost several lives stupidly, and ended with 1 extra life. Still, considering this is my first completed attempt, I'm otherwise happy with it.

Oddly enough, I think Phantasm is the easiest extra stage of all time. (Ran's extra is harder) I've also had a near perfect pretty far into the stage. I reached all the way to the spell Ran Yakumo without using bombs and without dying, but some borders were abused, especially on Double Death Butterfly (which I believe is her hardest spell, since I have yet to cap it)
The reason I died on Ran Yakumo? Because of: 1. rank, and 2. because I didn't pay attention to every single bullet because they were moving faster than I anticipated.

On a side note, I've reached DBF without deaths but had no bombs left, so it was a one death run. Still trying for no deaths, but Ran's opener keeps stopping me.

That's almost exactly what I do, but instead of using the invincibility at the end of a border, I cancel it just before she spits the second wave, which magically gets canceled anyway, even though the border has finished. This is why I haven't capped it. So I'll try your method and see how long it will take me. Thanks!

My fail scorerun attempt got my a lousy 1.3 billion so unless you are going for WR you are doing quite well already.
Oh and with a score like that you are not allowed to bomb anything in IN Extra. Except that attack. Go grind those spells. They are easy when you know the pattern of them.

I like how I'm able to semi-consistently perfect PCB Stage 4 Lunatic's stage portion. I've also captured max rank Lyrica's opener a few times, so once I finally get around to memorizing her second nonspell I might have a chance at the full stage.

Yes there is. It's pretty much negligible.
One of the only place where it actually mattered is Lyrica's opener, which goes from easy to difficult at max rank.
