Knocked out the last five 1ccs for PoFV Lunatic (Youmu/Reisen/Lyrica/Mystia/Komachi).  Youmu's a beast (I already knew this from knowing who the pros choose, but I'd never bothered experiencing for myself).  I don't know what happened with the Lyrica run but I only died once before Shiki (death on Stage 6 against Youmu... actually, I think Stage 6 is the only stage other than Stage 9 I haven't no-deathed for some reason), and I was pulling some lulzy dodging during Shiki as well (somehow managed to panicbomb and survive until my meter had charged back to L2, though I still died in that round and went on to clear in the next round).  Reisen and Komachi both took about five tries each in the last two days, though I can't think of why I had so much trouble with them.  The last two Reisen attempts had more focus on score, which makes the game a lot more fun than I expected just because of the sheer chaos that occurs when both players are capping out on spell points.

ebarrett's making me wonder if I should give PoDD another shot, but for some reason I've never liked PoDD, and the last time I tried PC98 it was arguing with my gamepad so maybe not.

I should probably go to sleep now, or at least go back to staring at my physics textbook.

For some reason I felt like trying this out (because Youmu is :*). Can't aim Myon worth shit yet, and I'm not sure how much further I might take this. Still, this run wasn't totally bad for one of my first serious attempts.

Looking at this.  I have no idea how anyone plays this game.  Graphics hurt my eyes, and the game moves too fast for me to be able to deal with it, plus no focus speed.  It's more on the manic fast bullets reflex dodging side of the shmup spectrum where I prefer the slower pattern reading stuff.  Of course, you can choose to interpret "it's not my style" as an alternate way of saying "baaaaaaaaw I suck at this game", I dont really care.

That said, me not liking PoDD only makes me appreciate your accomplishment more.  Well done.

GFW Route A-2 Hard 1cc.

I finally feel like getting back into this game. Obviously I'm starting each route on lower difficulties to acquaint myself with stuff. I'm still learning how to do a few parts on A-2, but I have ideas on how to do them.

EDIT: First GFW Route A-2 Lunatic attempt ever, got to the final bosses' third Spellcard before gameovering.

I still can't understand how the first final boss card works. Gotta be specific misdirection of some kind. And I'm honestly surprised that my slowdown rate was only 0.7% - the amount of lag I got on Lily Black's third and Sunny Milk's fourth attacks was astounding.

I'll be busy tomorrow, but I'll give the 1cc attempt another shot soon.

That spellcard is horrendous. I gave up trying to figure out a way to capture it after a while and just run in circles around them and bomb whenever there's no more room. It's easier to just get there with two or three bombs in stock and bomb the shit out of the fairies.

A-2 Lily Black on Lunatic is the best thing in Fairy Wars, seriously, that's the only reason A-2 was the first one I 1cc'd BV

I have tried playing it, but before I didn't like it for reasons I couldn't put my finger on.  The "looking at this... not liking PoDD" comment was me seeing things for me to put my finger on as for why I don't like it.

According to my B-1 Replay... Luna's first card is like GRT. Except bombable and freezable and shit.
The second card is just shit, but that's my opinion.
Third card is an easy one, on Normal at least.
Fairy Overdrive is meh, they track your angle instead of going in a fixed pattern apparently.
Three Fairies would be awful normally on B-1, since all the bullets that hit the wall curve downward. But if you cheese it out above Luna's head, you almost never have to deal with fireballs from the side. Or so it seems.

After getting sick of dying far too many times on stage 4 of MoF Normal, I randomly started a UFO easy run.
And I somehow 1cc'd it, despite the fact that this was only my second try at UFO.

Another GFW Route A-2 Lunatic 1cc, this time finishing with many more lives.

The worst part was, I lost like three or four lives very stupidly near the end of the final boss, so the score can be even higher. BUUUT, I finally figured out "leader" Star's first card on my own! I knew it was streaming of come kind, but as I was playing it this time it just clicked. Not only am I getting more motivation to clear the other routes, I might look into scorerunning.

Well, that was easier than I thought. I actually like how "leader" Star's Spellcards still varied between routes, so it wasn't like I was in the clear when I reached the final boss.

Random IN lunatic practice runs yielded a "capture" on Reisen's 2nd non-spell (which I haven't even captured on Hard before), and Buddahist Diamond in one try somehow. (my luck was astronomical for Buddhist Diamond though, so it probably doesn't really count)
