>No. They seem to be between you and her. Otherwise she wouldn't notice you're around at all.
>You think she's a bit closer to the sword than she is to you.
>No, it can be picked up.
>She's a little slower than you, but she's a good spriter.
>Tenshi looks over while you are considering all this, and says, "Whups, time to go!" With that, she turns and starts down the hallway.

>Pursue!
>Is there any way the other celestials could go a different way to help cut her off?

>You are technically permitted, but you really shouldn't. But you certainly feel like it.
>You chase after her!
>Maybe if you could distract her a bit? It would certainly involve them taking the long way around.
>Tenshi speeds toward the chamber where the sword is enshrined, you in hot pursuit.

>Hurry after her at top speed

>You pursue at top speed.
>"Sure thing," says Tenshi, "Just give me a little longer!"
>You send a bolt of danmaku lightning at her. She seems to have been watching you from the corner of her eye, and banks to the side. Still, the grazes be her side pretty solidly and causes her to cry out. "Cut that out!" she shouts.

>"Just a little longer!" Tenshi says.
>You send out another bolt of lighting. She tries to dodge again, but ends up moving into it and taking the strike right to the back. She shrieks, and deploys a small keystone behind her. This would not typically be a problem, save that it is flying directly at you, while you are flying close to top speed in the opposite direction!

>Tenshi has gained a little ground on you, but not more than a yard. You can see the sword chamber a couple seconds ahead of her.

>Not yet, but she's either going to have to change directions shortly or slam into the wall, and you'll be in range for either then.

>Fire lightning bolts along the sides of where the sword stands, such that Tenshi will essentially be forced to move into them to grab the sword

>You fire lightning along the edges of the stand as Tenshi is about to reach for it. She notices the oncoming attack, cries out, and falls back a bit from the lightning, then dives after the sword as it passes and you close the distance between you.

I'm of the belief that Tenshi is physically stronger than Iku.

Yes, but it's hard to grab a sword when you can't move your hands. Even if only for a second or two.

I'm concerned with Tenshi pulling us off balance. That'd give her enough time to grab sword and pwn us close range.

Re: Iku Quest - A Z-Machine Adventure
« Reply #89 on: September 30, 2010, 07:22:59 AM »
Remember, the scarf bind can also shock. I don't think she can pull us off balance that quickly. And really, if we just ground her and she reaches the sword anyway, this is probably over. The only question is whether it's worth the risk of aiming at the smaller target. I'm inclined to say yes, personally.
