Probably the only real 'harm' is the real-life time that it delays interesting things while you're busy learning nothing of consequence or even interest. I'll just say that a number of sections of Maribel Quest felt like they dragged because of spending way too much time (in my opinion) talking to people who had nothing to add. I'm hardly saying that every non-critical conversation is like that, but it happened enough times that I feel a bit iffy about anyone saying it didn't happen enough.

>Up ahead, you see Kourindou, nestled between into the forest. Fallen leaves cover its roof, as well as the junk around shop. It is an old-looking wooden home, hardly looking like a store. The road curves around it, and toward the east. Obvious exits are North, South, and East

>"It should be heal within seconds," says Rinnosuke. "As for its potency, I cannot say in direct terms. Though I would imagine it wouldn't heal out something life threatening, but it may simply downgrade it to serious."
>"The caramels are completely random. Eat one and its effect shall take place. It may be beneficial, it may be harmful. it may be dramatic, or so subtle you would never notice it. I cannot promise anything, save that the focus of the effect will be you.

>"And the hairclip?"

>"My apologies," he says. "It allows you to see things that are rendered invisible. That said, things which are naturally invisible, such as the air, will be hidden still. So there is a little wiggle room for some things to sneak past it."

>"Hm... I shouldn't spend too long, then. She's being troublesome again, and I should find her before she gets in any more trouble."
>"May I ask what the story is behind the knight and turtle statues?"

>He nods. "Allow me to offer you some free advice in that regard. I am uncertain if you're been around during this kind of incident, so perhaps I am repeating myself. Do all that you can to avoid the main incident-solvers. They will not have your best interests at heart."
>"I've had the turtle statue for awhile, it is a bit of Kappa art. As for the Knight, it is from elsewhere. I obtained it as part of a lot.

Ah hell. Alice's dolls still managed to swipe a few things during the fight, didn't they?

>On the upside, they might stop Tenshi if she runs into them... hopefully without too much damage.
>"Part of a lot?"
>Consider who might have something to gain from bringing the Heavens down - by all appearances, it's unlikely that Tenshi acted on her own, whether this was her idea or not...

>"Marisa tends to shoot first and ask questions later," says Rinnosuke. "She may banter a bit, but she tends to assume if you're not where you're supposed to be, you are involved. Sakuya, if she breaks retirement, is much the same. Sanae, well, she's still new. She may get a bit too much into things. They are best avoided."

(Just as an aside re: information gathering, I am very much an objective-based player - I strive to achieve what needs to be achieved, at the expense of interaction with the rest of the world. This usually means that excessive talking to people actually turns me off a game, unless they're objective-critical people. I do realise this is a very personal preference, and I would not presume to demand this, but I can certainly ask that we do not tarry longer than we have to at any given person.)
