I don't like the fact Sanae is out on the war path, violence begets violence, we aren't going to get a collective 'Stop the Tournament' from groups seeking vengence.  The sudden switch from 'Murder! Death! Kill!' to 'Spread the Love and weed, Man' isn't going to fly.
Any ideas?

Indeed, I was just about to suggest reigning Sanae in.

>"Taking grievances against the tournament directly to the troublemaker of the Scarlet Weather Rhapsody incident seems to have the highest possiblity of success; especially if backed up by the discontent of a majority of Gensokyo.  However, there are a few loose ends I must tie up before making the ascension.  The one that concerns the Moriya Temple is the reigning in of your shrinemaiden.  Because of the tactics employed, many of the youkai would likely mob together and try to lynch your temple, which would likely be an interesting scenario from heaven's perspective.  A possible solution would be a public exhibition, in which some of those wronged would be satisfied, should Moriya's champion lose.  This stage can serve as a grandstand to denounce the ill-begotten tournament, making it clear it being a ruse by heaven.  This should serve as a good backdrop for a final confrontation in heaven.  Do you have any suggestions to such a plan?"

>"You misunderstand.  It would not be fair to the shrine to rig the match in question; indeed, a false match, would likely only make matters worse: patronizing and inflaming the audience if seen through, and fooling the others into thinking Moriya is weak.  Such an event can go a long way to persuade opinion against the tournament and further our goal.  Think upon this potential and let me know your response in due time."

> The parser does seem to be misunderstanding. Is it your intent to set up a match, which Sanae throws?

>"Then how would you propose to make amends for the actions you've sent your shrine maiden to do?"

> "I do not propose to make amends, for I am answerable to nobody upon this mountain."
> The child nods. "We're in charge here."

>The intent is to set up a public match as a retributive outlet for the youkai the shrine wronged.  Of course the shrine would never throw the match, too much pride, though them losing would actually be beneficial in the long run methinks.  If they want to be sticks in the mud, that's their prerogative.

> "If the representatives of the Ancient City and the inhabitants of the Palace of Earth Spirits have qualms about my activities regarding them, they are welcome to present their cases to me themselves. The same applies to anyone else who might hold a grudge, but it strikes me that you do not hold power of attorney for anyone other than yourself."
> The child wags a finger at you. "And if you still keep insisting, then doesn't that make your intrusion into someone else's interests just as bad as Kanako's? Anyway, relax - Sanae's a good diplomat, she takes that from me. There are probably fewer savage beatings than you think."

>"Very well.  Perhaps I was too hasty, seeing that most of the mountains inhabitants were driven to hiding on my way here, and hearing rumors of a brutal campaign.  My apologies.  Then please inform Sanae of the change in tactics we have discussed."

Looking through last few pages, seems things aren't quite as bad as was thought.  Only thing I'm concerned about right now then, is how to handle an unconscious rabbit, and the possiblity of fast travel.

>Oh. And we get the Hakkero right?

> The goddess and the child nod in unison.
> Fast travel might be achievable depending on what you wish it to achieve.
> The rabbit girl will most probably be safe here. Eirin or Kaguya should be able to pick her up later.
> The child carelessly tosses you the Hakkero.

> Rare tool: Mini-Hakkero. Complexity: 2/Special. An eight-sided block of black wood with patterns printed on the front, it is a potent reactor for magical energy. Is commonly-seen in the possession of the witch Marisa Kirisame. Identical versions seen in the possession of Tewi Inaba and Rinnosuke's store. Considering the unique nature of this artifact, at least one of them must be a fake. Goggles do not yield more information.

Well, we still need to return the Hakkero, inform home of the current going-ons, check in at the Scarlet Mansion, see what Koishi can do for Utsuho, and then see about dealing with the Celestrials.

> You can see that the mountain path gets ever steeper and more perilous as it goes up, soon getting lost amongst crags and rocks. You would quickly be stopped by the mountain's peak, with no means of your own of crossing to Heaven.
