>"I'll do what I can," Mugetsu says.
>Marisa nods. "Sure thing. Although, uh, I'm not sure what good I could do out here. Suppose I could keep Renko from panicking if she wakes up to a roomful of sleeping people."

>Do so. Make sure to explain finding Mugetsu, what she can do, what she saw in Maribel's dreams, and what we're about to do.

>Marisa chuckles. "Still, there's more than one kind of crazy, ya know?"

>"Let's leave Renko a note just in case, then... Reimu might be able to do something, even if something goes wrong."
>Do so. Make sure to explain finding Mugetsu, what she can do, what she saw in Maribel's dreams, and what we're about to do.

>"Yeah, that's probably a good idea," Marisa says. "I'm sure she'll get off her butt if any of us go missing, too."
>You prepare to leave a detailed note to Renko, but realize you lack any writing implements. There's a few potentially important pieces of paper around you might be able to cannibalize, but you see no sign of a pen or brush, or anything else of that nature.

>"Eh, I'm sure I could go grab a pen from one of the receptionists or something. Gimme a sec," she says, as she ducks out of the room.
>A quick moment later, she returns and hands you one, along with a piece of note paper. "Here ya go."

>Marisa tips her head towards you. "No problem."
>You set to writing a detailed note for Renko, mentioning as many relevant details about what you're attempting as you can think of. You find the process helps you gather your own thoughts for what lies ahead. ...whatever it might be. Soon, you feel you've covered as many bases as necessary, and put the pen aside.

>With a cracking of knuckles and nonsensical battle cry, you charge at your stationary and quite helpless target and unleash the full force of your cranium! The impact resonates with a satisfying thunk.
>"Uh," Mugetsu says, "you do realize we only need to get inside her head in a metaphoric sense... right?"

>Deep breath.
>"Ready when you are, Mugetsu."

>You take deep breath to steady yourself and let Mugetsu know you're ready.
>"Make yourself comfortable," she says. "Somewhere that you're unlikely to fall off of when you drift to sleep. It might interrupt the process."
>"Hey, I'm going too, right?" Marisa says. "You seemed to be in two minds about it there for a bit."

>Get comfortable in one of those chairs.

>You sit down, and try to make sure you're in a position where you won't slide out of it. After a little experimental fidgeting, you think you're good to go.

>"If both of you are willing, I think I'd appreciate the help. But I won't force it."

>"I said I'd do it, and I will," Marisa replies, settling into a chair herself. "Just making sure."
>"I'll do my best to guide both of you in," Mugetsu says. "I pray we'll be able to find my sister, somewhere inside. Just relax..." You feel a sudden lethargy pull at you.
>"Man, that's not..." Marisa stifles a yawn. "That's not so bad. Been a... long day... anyway."
>You find yourself mirroring her sentiments exactly as your eyes start to close and your head falls forward.

>Fall asleep. Don't fall.

>You let yourself fall asleep. Your last thought as consciousness slips for you is how much time you've spent falling asleep since this started, and how little actual rest you've had,  despite that. You manage to articulate very little else

>You are in class. It is early morning, and you are doing review for a quiz on the Warning States period scheduled for tomorrow. Some students are relatively attentive. Many others are abjectly not. This is not unusual, unfortunately. There is only so far that a love for one's subject can go to instill that love in others. You do treasure every eager face, however. They're the ones that make it all worthwhile.
>You spare a glance out the window. It looks like it will be a remarkably bright and pleasant afternoon. You idly entertain the idea of proposing a picnic to Mokou when class is over, and have a quiet chuckle about her likely reaction.

>Are the students being decently attentive, or does one of them seem to need to chalk?

>Most are at least feigning interest. They are being tested on this tomorrow, after all. Still, it's clearly just a pretense for a couple of them. You'd think they'd learn by now that they're not fooling anyone. Still, their heads would be a waste of perfectly good chalk. ...is that a little mean-spirited of you?

>You admonish yourself a little for being uncharitable.
>There is a predictable chorus of suppressed groans and distressed expressions at this announcement.
>One of the students in the front seems to be trying to get your attention. Doesn't she know well enough to raise her hand? Actually, isn't she a little old to still be in school?

>"Hey!" one of the students cries, pointing a finger accusingly at another part of the class. "It's not fair that we have to do more work just because they're lazy."
>You give a pointed glance to the student in the front row. But rather than raise her hand or stop being disruptive, she gets out of her seat and approaches you in the middle of your lecture. Does she have no idea how to conduct herself in a classroom?

>"Oh, like that'll work," he replies. You hear some snickering in the back.

>You've been teaching for a long time, but you've never heard anyone try that one, before. Yet... something about it rings vaguely true for some reason
>You pause, and try to focus on this hint of recollection. It takes a moment, but you become vaguely aware that you were somewhere else a moment ago. A dull room. There were others. Someone was asleep. ...you were asleep? Wait, is that Mugetsu holding your arm? What's she doing here? What are you doing here, for that matter? Wait a second...
