>"Yeah... you're probably right." Marisa looks over at Maribel and slowly shakes her head. "Hope she can do some good in there."

>You find another chair by the side of the room and sit down. Time... really doesn't want to pass quickly when you're waiting for something important. Your eyes roam idly around the room while the minutes pass slowly by. The decor is sterile and uninviting looking, and there are few things which catch your attention. Were it not for the tension of anticipation, it would it would be an extremely dull place to pass the time, with the majority of your companions being either asleep or very asleep. In the stillness, you hear Renko snoring quietly.
>Minutes drift by. Was that five or twenty? You're not even sure, anymore. Eventually, Marisa starts to fidget and then stands up. "I'll be back in a bit," she says, leaving the room before you roust yourself from your reverie to reply. More time passes. A few minutes later, she returns with a metal can in her hand.
>"Still nothing, I guess," she says, as she takes a drink from it. "Man, wish I knew if it was supposed to take this long."

>Marisa scratches her head. "Uh, well, where to begin? To be honest, it was pretty rough here at first. Back in Gensokyo, I never paid much attention to stuff about the outside world, you know? Always seemed so far away. Lots more important things to deal with right in front of you, you know? I mean, Kourin could talk your ear off about whatever new thing he'd found, but they were always just toys or curiousites. Or junk, I figured." She laughs. "Oh boy, he was more wrong then he knew, half the time. Me too, for the matter."
>"Anyway, I nearly got in a lot of trouble after I got here. Magic... doesn't go over so well, here. At least if you do it where anyone else can see. Didn't take me long to learn that lesson." She pauses and raises an eyebrow at you. "I get the feeling you already knew that before you got here, somehow."

>Marisa laughs. "Yeah, well, discretion and me never got along all that well. But I've learned not to get caught doing it now, at least. Between you and me, I think Reimu's a little jealous that I still get to cast in public and get away with it."

>Marisa grins. "Yeah, I guess, but I get to be flashy! I do pyrotechnics. For stage acts, fireworks displays, you name it. When you're already doing lights and explosions, no one notices if you toss in a little bit extra. Modern fireworks are pretty impressive, really, but there's a lot of stuff they still can't do. I give 'em a better show than anyone else here can." Her smile practically drips with pride. "Most people don't know what you can and can't pull off without magic. Anyone else asks, I just tell them it's a trade secret."

>Marisa laughs and shakes her head. "Yeah, I suppose I can't blame ya, after seeing half the stuff you have since you got here. It's pretty incredible, I'll give them that. But there's still lot of stuff magic can do that science can't. People here can't fly, for one thing. Now that is something I miss doing, I'll be honest."

>"I don't know that we can," Marisa says, shaking her head. "Or at least I can't. Don't know what other tricks you have up your sleeve."
